Anniversary [] Blue Beetle

"Jaime!" I exclaimed. "Put me down!"

"Sorrry princessa, but no can do." Jaime chuckled, continuing to walk with me slung over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. 

"Ugh, where are you even taking me?" I asked, frowning.

"Places," Jaime replied as we left the Watch Tower, the computer announcing our departure.

Moments later, we arrived in a grassy meadow, the sun setting on the horizon.

Jaime set me down gently, the plush grass tickling my feet.

I looked around to find a single orchid tree. "Jaime, where are we?"

"Somewhere near Taiwan." Jaime answered nonchalantly.

My eyes widened as he grabbed my hand, leading me towards the tree.

As we grew near, I realized that there was a picnic set underneath the blossoms of the tree.

"Jaime, you... You did this all?" I asked in amazment.

"All for you," He added, sitting down.

I sat down next to him, still in awe. "For me? Why?"

He let out a deep chuckle. "Happy one year anniversary silly."

"Oh my god, I forgot!" I exclaimed. "Jaime! I am so sorry! I-"

"It's not a problem," Jaime replied, pouring some sparkling cider in fancy wine glasses.

He handed one to me before placing his free hand on mine. "Just be here, in the moment."

"That, I can do." I replied. I took a sip of the cider, watching the sunset. "It's beautiful,"

I turned to Jaime, who nodded absentmindedly, staring at me. I blushed as he started leaning towards me. Our lips met in a blissful moment, our bodies moving in sync with on another.

We pulled apart after what seemed like a millennia of blissful moments, and Jaime pressed his forehead against mine.

"Happy Anniversary mi amor," He whispered.

I smiled up at him. "Happy Anniversary,"
