(Mia's P.O.V)After Audrey fell asleep I decided to relax and drive along the way. I needed to make a quick stop to a friend of mines that I haven't seen in months, we decided to meet today because she's finally back home from traveling with her family and I won't be able to see her during the school week.
Yes I have my reasons and that's why Audrey doesn't know. But....that's a story for another day or so. Trust me, you'll know later on.
Her name is Hailey, as known as (childhood friend). Me and her have been close friends since as long as I can remember. We connect very well, mainly because we act alike and pretty much have the same interests so why not be friends? Right?
The reason we don't see each other often anymore is because her parents got this huge job and it causes a lot of traveling, which caused us to break away for awhile, then we come back together and then we separate. That's pretty much how our friendship goes and neither of us is bothered by it.
I finally pulled up at her usual, familiar two-story house that they moved into like two years ago. I notified her that I was pulling in driveway so that she can come and unlock the door.
Her parents car wasn't visible so I'm assuming they're not here. They're always out working or doing business or whatever, I can't imagine how Hailey must feel about that. I mean she does have a sister and a brother but they are a little bit younger than her.
I waited for Hailey to open the door and glanced over to see if Audrey was still sleep. I honestly didn't think she would drink that much, considering the fact that she doesn't drink often do to her strict ass parents who gets on her every little move. I know that alcohol took a big effect of her so she's going to be sleep for awhile...Hopefully. I grabbed my purse and got out of the car, making sure the car door doesn't slam.
I locked the doors and headed towards the house where she was standing.
"Ahh, long time no see Ms. Hudson." She chuckled with a smirk.
"So we're on last name terms now?" I smiled, while greeting her with a hug.
"Depends."
"Good to see you again, feels like I haven't seen you in years." I say.
"Yeah, it does. Hopefully we're done with all this traveling and moving so I can focus on school, and just school."I nod my head.
She smiles at me and then glanced behind me, with a questioning face.
"Oh, that's Audrey. We just came from Connor's House Party, and she had too many drinks so that's why she's in that state. She'll wake up later on." I explained, hoping she doesn't want to meet her at the moment.Again. I have my reasons.
She nodded, understanding as I continued to explain why I left her in the car.
"But don't you think she would at least want to lay down on the couch or something? She might be uncomfortable in that position." Hailey suggested, probably concerned why I haven't invited her in.I looked back at Audrey.
"Thanks, but she's fine. Trust me." I reassured her.She shrugged and began walking inside house as I followed.
I close the door behind me, glancing around the house and it's usual features.
"My parents are thinking about moving back over to our old neighborhood, so I think I might be able to transfer back to Oak Wood." She told me as we went into the kitchen.I gasped in excitement.
"You serious?" My eyes lit up.
"I said I might Mia, calm down."I nodded while smiling, it would be good to have one of my old friends back.
"Anyways, how's school going? Found someone new yet?" She asked me before stuffing her mouth with spaghetti.
"Umm everything's good. This was our first week back from winter break and yes, I've found someone new..." I smiled at the last few words which cause her to squeal.
"Who is he?" She smirked while wiggling her eyebrows.I shook my head and rolled my eyes.
"His name is Nick. We started dating about two weeks ago, and so far we're doing good." I told her.She looked at me the same way she did, on the previous guy I dated.
"Oh come on, Everything's good this time. Trust me." I reassured.
"It better be. I don't wanna have to come up there and start whooping asses." She rose an eyebrow at me with a smirk. The silence filled in once again as I checked the time on my phone. I kept glancing up at Hailey because she stopped eating and was just staring, as if she was battling something inside her head.
"Are you good?" I asked. She didn't hear me as she still stared into space.
"Hailey?" I touched her shoulder and she moved, coming back into reality.
"Huh? Oh, sorry...I just was just- thinking..." she mumbled.
"Wanna talk about it?" I softly smiled while getting in a comfortable position. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes.
"I did something really bad." She started off.
