Calm Down...

We arrived at the hospital minutes later, due to Leah's consistently speeding. I was kinda surprised we didn't get pulled over because of how fast she was going...

I had to keep calming her down on our way there because she was losing it. She couldn't even drive correctly. Her hands were shaking on the steering wheel as she turned, her legs were shaking every time we stopped at a red light. It made me feel even more scared than ever.

As many things as what's going on right now, I myself couldn't think straight.

It seems to me that every time one bad thing happens, another thing comes right behind it.

I mean can I get a break for once?

I'm currently in a fight with my bestfriend, I'm going through a whole scene with Liam, I just found out that my freaking math teacher is my own sister, and I've been living with people my whole life and that wasn't even my real family and now this happens?

I know I've done a lot of fucked up things in my early teens and I'm starting to regret I did it, but this is too much to handle...

I took a glance over at Leah as we pulled into the parking lot. She was like on the edge of tears but didn't dare to let them fall. She was trying to be strong as much as possible.

As soon as she parked the car she took no time in rushing out of the car, running towards the front door.

I did the same because I knew how much Lauren meant to her and I didn't want to seem like I didn't care. I actually did...a lot.

We made it inside and sped walk towards the front desk where the lady who obviously works here, sat at.

"Excuse me?" Leah said, trying to grab her attention.

She had to change the voice in her tone because it sounded like she was about cry, so she instantly cleared her throat.

The lady looked up.
"Yes? How can I help you two?"

"I was recently called saying my best friend was involved in a car accident and they told me I had to come here as soon as possible...Her name is Lauren Asher.." She told the lady..

Even though she tried her best to remain calm, she couldn't. You could almost hear the shakiness in her voice whenever she spoke.

"Let me take a look.."

The lady quickly scanned a list and stopped her finger on Lauren's name.
"Ah yes, she's in room D207. The room is on the 4th floor."
"Okay, thank you..." She spoke while signing in on a sheet..

The lady looked up at me and gave me a small smile. After she smiled, she suddenly gave off a facial expression that I couldn't figure out, so I returned the smile and looked away.

After Leah stopped writing she gave me a 'let's go' look before walking in the direction towards the elevator.
"I hope everything turns out alright for you guys.." She said to me as I began walking away.

"Thanks.."

I sped up to catch up with Leah who was practically running towards the elevator.

God, I swear I hate elevators. I'm scared of them to be honest. Seen too many YouTube videos..

We made it to the elevator and she immediately pressed the number 4 button next to the doors.

The silence filled as the doors closed and it started moving.

She was pacing around, shaking her head at the floor.
"Calm down, Leah. She's going to be alright. They didn't say it was that serious did they?" I reassured her, trying to take a little bit of stress off of her.
"No, they only said to come up here.." She said, walking out of the elevator as soon as she seen light.

I sighed and followed her down the hall.

As I looked at the walls, they gave a sudden vibe that I couldn't think of.

I don't know if it was a good one or a bad one. Whatever it was, it was definitely there.

"204...205..206...207." She counted as we walked down the hall.

As soon as we reached the right number she instantly opened the door, going inside.

Leah walked in slowly, probably praying that she wasn't about to see her best friend at her possible worst state ever.

When we passed the curtains, we saw Lauren on the bed with her phone in her hand.

On her left arm, she had a blue cast wrapped around it.

"Hey guys." She spoke with a weak smile.

As soon as she spoke, Leah's whole face changed, as if she had gotten some relief.
"How you feeling?" I asked her first.

"Injured, but I'm okay. They only said I fractured my left arm and bruised the right side of my rib cage. To be honest I thought it would've been wayy worse than that.." She said shrugging.

I nodded and looked at Leah who looked like she was about to pass out..
"Leah, are you okay?" I asked her.

She looked at me and then nodded slightly.

"I'm sorry.......it's just that.....when I heard that you got into an accident my mind just went.....blank...I-I thought my world was over, I thought I was gonna lose you...and-and...."

Her eyes were watering up as she looked at Lauren.

I then remembered that they had some tension going on so I started to slowly back up away towards the door.
"I believe you two need a conversation, excluding me." I say while still backing up.

"I'll be down the hall where the vending machine is, my stomach can use a snack." I announced, turning around for the door.

As I was about to close the door, I seen Leah looking at me.
"Thank you." She mouthed towards me with a little smile.

I nodded and closed the door, walking down the hall.

-------

After about 10 minutes of snacking on a few things I bought from the vending machine, I got up and wandered around the halls, hoping that I knew how to get back to the room once I'm done.

I decided to go on Snapchat to look at other people stories before heading back to the room...

I was thinking about making a post but the filters wasn't popping up so I decided to see if I could connect to the wifi here. I hope they have good internet here.

I went to my settings and clicked on the wifi category.
Yes, I'm totally with Apple in case you guys were wondering.

Anyways, I waited a few seconds for all of the names to pop up.

I looked down the small list and all of them had the lock symbol on them meaning it was a passcode.

I sighed loudly and rolled my eyes, about to exit everything out until another name popped up as: Parkview Center Visitors..

I got a little happy and clicked on it.

As I went back to Snapchat, I almost dropped my phone, gasping as the sudden realization hit me like a truck......

This is the same hospital that was on those certificates Leah had in that folder that she showed to me. Meaning that we were in the same exact hospital that we were both born in....
