PREVIOUS CHAPTER
Audrey continued to look at her before she nodded. "I will...........just not right now.....Thank you and also for saving my life as well.....if it wasn't for you......I probably wouldn't be sitting here on this couch with you guys." She said, looking at all of us except me.
Taylor sniffed and nodded before she turned around and walked back to the stairs and went inside of her bag to grab a piece of paper out...
"I'm not done." She said as she walked back over to Audrey, looking at me....
"Here...............you deserve it.." She handed Audrey the little piece of paper that she had.Audrey hesitated before opening it.
"What's this?" She asked."It's.......a phone number......" Taylor mumbled, looking down at her shoes...
"A phone number to what?"It was suddenly dead silence in the room as everyone was looking around.....Taylor looked at me and then took her eyes back to Audrey, making my eyes light up in every possible way it could.
"A phone number to.........contact your parents......." She mumbled, making Me and Audrey's head snap into each other's direction.I suddenly gasped as I looked at Taylor.
-----------
I continued to stare at Taylor as my mouth hung slightly open from what she just said.........she can't be serious right? I mean w-why would she give us this?
"Are.....Are you for real?" I asked in more of a whisper, as I remained shock. I had no words to say at the moment...She looked up at me and nodded her head, making me shift my eyes towards Audrey as she kept her eyes glued to the number on the piece of wrinkled paper, reading the numbers over and over again.....
"Try calling them.......I don't know what they're doing right now but you should see if they'll answer..." Taylor suggested, taking a phone out of her duffel bag and handing it over to Audrey. "It's my backup phone........I destroyed my main one so they couldn't track our location.."I looked around at everyone else in the room and they were all watching what was going on Tyler was sitting on the edge of the couch where Audrey was. Eason, Tanner and Issac were all bunched up on one part of the couch, Ace and Jay were sitting at the small dining area. Connor, Nick and Hailey were sitting on the floor and that leaves Xavier, who was standing up with his arms crossed.
"Alright." She mumbled, looking down at the phone and going straight towards the keypad to type the number in.......Oh my god, what if they answer? What do we say? Hi?
Waiting for her to press the call button, she stopped and looked at me, I looked at her and slowly nodded my head before she glanced back down at the phone to press the button and the phone immediately started ringing...
My heart skipped a few beats as the first ring came on and it was dead silence in the room expect the low volume on the TV.
The second ring came and I looked at the phone that Audrey was holding, wondering if my prayers were finally being answered at last."Come on.." I heard Audrey mumble under her breath as the third ring came along, making my hopes start to sink. Please pick up the phone, I swear it'll be worth it...
On the fifth ring, Audrey let out a huge disappointing sigh before she pressed the red button and rubbed her eyes. My face fell as I looked down at my hands. Of course they didn't pick up..........it was too fucking good to be-
My thoughts were suddenly interrupted when the phone started ringing and the familiar number popped up, making my eyes light up again. Audrey took no time into answering the phone and putting it on speaker for everyone to hear.
"H-Hello?" Audrey stuttered, making me scoot closer towards her and the phone...There was a long pause of quietness on the other end before we heard a voice....
"Hello, who is this?" The person spoke, making me look up at Taylor. I couldn't tell if that was our mom or not because it's been a very long time since I've heard her voice so I don't remember how she sounds......
"That's her.." Taylor whispered, making me nod and look at the phone.Audrey looked at me and then at Taylor.
"Mom...............it-it's me........Audrey..." She spoke, trying her very hardest not to break down and cry. I was doing the same thing as well....We all heard a gasp at the end, and unexpectedly, I grabbed the phone from Audrey and my voice began speaking...
"I'm here too......." I say in a shaky voice, biting my lip to help hold in all of my mixed emotions right now....."Oh.....god.............Mike. Come here, quick." We heard her say on the phone.
Was that our dad?
"Yes, dear?" A man with a deep voice said as we heard his voice.
She didn't say anything as noises came from the phone, it sounded like she handed him the phone and they were whispering too.
"Hello, who is this? He asked the same question."It's Audrey."
"And me.......Leah....." I pitched in....They didn't say anything as we all exchanged looks. Not knowing what else to say...
"Okay, um Andrea. Hi, this is Taylor. Look-I know you and your husband are hella confused right now and you have every right to be but what you're hearing is true.......they're here with me and I wanted them to contact you.......so I'm gonna video chat you guys is that okay?" Taylor spoke as she took the phone from Audrey, pacing around a little..."I-I-Okay..." She breathed out, and Taylor immediately hung up and went straight to the FaceTime app and re typed their number in. The phone rang twice before they answered and she immediately motioned one of the boys to turn the lights on....
"Here." Taylor whispered to the both of us and handed Audrey the phone.
We both looked at the phone and it showed a dark screen for a few seconds before two faces that I started to recognize a bit, appeared on the screen, making me put a hand over my mouth and gasp....
