Ms. Tate's POV———————————
"Turn left or right?" I asked, looking over at her who was busy on her phone.
"Uh, left." She answered, glancing back down on her phone.I turned my left blinker on as we came down the street, shortly turning after....
***Warning: Flashback...***
"Leah?!" I heard my mom call out from the living room.
I took a deep breath and stood up from my bed, nervously heading towards the door.
On my way towards the living room, I kept praying and praying hoping that whatever they have to say, isn't bad. I know I made my mistake but right now there's no really going back.
I entered the living room and the silence immediately took over. My mom was sitting next to my dad on the couch, and by the looks of it? I knew something wasn't gonna end well.
"Have a seat.." My mom said, pointing to the couch on the opposite side of them.My heart was racing at this point, I can almost hear it.
I decided to sit down and face them. I couldn't exactly tell what was going through their minds but I can tell by their face expressions. They were disappointed. Very disappointed.
My mom sighed and then looked at my dad. They each gave each other the ' who's speaking ' look. I hate it when they do that.
"Your....father and I have been figuring things out for awhile now and we think that this....is the only option for you."I rose one my eyebrows, confused at most.
"Only option? What do you mean? I don't understand.."My dad got up and went towards the closet by the front door. He opened it up and grabbed a shoe box from it.
He came back and sat back down, handing me the box.
"What is this?"
"Look inside and see.." He told me.I shrugged and took the top off. Once I did that, my eyes immediately went wide but in confusion. It was 3 layered stacks of money placed inside the box.
"That's about 10,000 in there.." My mom said.I looked up at them and squinted my eyes.
"What is all this for?" I asked. They both looked at each other.
"Look sweetie, we think that it's best if you go..""What?....go where?"
"I'm sorry Leah but we think it's only right if you moved out of the house. We can't deal with this right now. What you decided to do is way out of our league to cover up.""Wait......Are you guys kicking me out?! I'm only 14!" I raised my voice.
"Oh really? Then tell us where was that exact same phrase at when you went over to that boy's house after I specifically told you not to? Huh?" My mom responded, raising her voice back.
"Why do you guys hate him so much? What did he ever do to you?!"Both of them were clearly upset, and so was I. They always had a reason to hate him.
"Please, let me stay here. I-I'll get a job and—"
"You can't get a job yet, you're too young." My dad stated..
