Jordan's mouth opened a bit wide in shock, but soon squinted her eyes and changed her expression into confusion as she tried to figure out what to say next.
"Wha—How? How'd she die? How are you even involved?.....Did you—"
"No." I cut her off, "I didn't kill her........Leah did." I mumbled, as the room went silent after I spoke.

She didn't say anything right away as she backed away and walked towards her dresser that had a mirror attached to it and leaned against it.
"Why did Leah kill her?" She suddenly questioned with a low voice. Reading her face I could tell that she was upset. More like disappointed in Leah, but although Leah had every right to do what she did.
"Ava was about to end my life if Leah hadn't shoot her.......w-we were in an old parking lot by that abandoned house. Leah told her to meet up with me because I had told her what Ava done earlier that day."
"What did Ava do?" She suddenly crossed her arms, still listening as she continued to lean against the dresser.

I sighed and looked down at my fingers,
"She sent me a text, threatening to show a few old papers that happened a few years ago to everyone at school and ruin my life if I didn't let her run the school and have her—whatever." I shrugged, still not understanding why she wanted to take my spot so bad. I-it's not even worth it anymore. Being popular is pointless nowadays. You can never be you because you're busy trying to be what everybody wants you to be and where's the fun in that?

"....what old papers?" She questioned, looking me in the eye as I sighed deeply before walking a bit closer to her.

"Abortion papers.......I had gotten pregnant by being a dumb teenager my sophomore year and of course I couldn't keep it. Living with them at the time was a total nightmare and to think of what they would've done if they found out."

"You weren't dumb, Audrey. Accidents happen all the time. No one can tell you want to do with your life. It's yours, not theirs." She said, making me nod as I looked around at the floor.

"Continuing with the whole Ava thing......she had showed up and me and her talked. Leah and Lexi had stayed in the car incase she tried to do something which she did after I received an interesting photo of her and our principal in his office doing you know what." I showed her the photo in my phone that Ace sent me and her eyes widened in shock once again.

"Ew, digusting." She said as she blinked her eyes away as I exited out of the message and put my phone back in my pocket.

"After I showed her that and threatened her to back off and stay out of the mess she had gotten into, she pulled out her gun and was going to kill me until—"
"Leah pulled hers out and shot her first." She finished my sentence as I nodded now that she gotten the story on why Ava's dead.

"Okay......she's dead. But according to the news, she's missing. Did you guys hide her body or—"
"No. Absolutely not. We fled the scene after it happened but then the next day I returned to school. Ava's parents also showed up, announcing that she left the house and didn't come back and then Mia showed up saying she was back as well and then showed me Ava's phone which is evidence that the police are looking for as of now or at least something that can give them a further lead into this, and now she's threatening me with it since I was the last person to text her last night by saying she's gonna show the police the phone which is sort of backfiring on her because of whatever Leah has done today for them to come and take her in for questioning...."

"...This is crazy." She responded as she shook her head.
"Isn't it? And I feel like this is gonna worse by the second if we don't take control of it now."

She nodded in agreement as the fading sound of knocking on the front door.
"Expecting someone?" I rose an eyebrow as she immediately walked towards her room door and opened it, I followed her as she made her way towards the front door and peeked through the hole.
"More like the opposite." She mumbled to me as she opened the door and appeared was Leah and Tyler.

They both looked at me and then entered the door as Jordan allowed them.
"Grab your stuff and let's go." She instantly  demanded as Jordan closed the door behind them. I suddenly looked at Tyler for help but he put his hands up in surrender, making me roll my eyes as I looked at Leah.
"Why? I'm almost an adult and I'm sure as hell old enough to make my own decisions. You don't always have to control everything I do." I fired at her. I was getting upset that she continues to treat me like a kid. I'm far from that and I refuse to let her boss me around like I am.

"According to the way your life is set right now? I believe I do. You need to be supervised 24/7 when you're not with me."
"Im fucking 17, Leah. I don't need to be 'supervised'."

She looked at Jordan who was talking with Tyler.
"I thought I told you to bring her back home the minute I texted. Why didn't you do so?" She snapped at her and Jordan remained silent and looked down.
"Because she doesn't have to listen to you all the time. Just like I don't. You can't just go around bossing people around like this. You're no one's mother but Lexi and I think you're having trouble remembering that." I snapped back at her and she turned to me with her stern expression. She was getting worked up. Our conversations has never gotten this far and intense until now. Maybe it's because I was able to put up with her back then. Now I'm just tired and fed up. She needs to chill out, real soon, real fast.

"Excuse me?" She questioned while stepping up towards me.

"Leah—" Tyler called her name but she held up her hand and he stopped talking as she continued looking at me.
"Last time I checked, I was the adult here." She pointed her fingers towards herself, making me raise an eyebrow.
"Last time I checked, you're not my mother. Although you choose to try and be both, you're not. You will always be my sister and that's it." I continued my point. She wasn't gonna win this one. I was.

She didn't say anything yet except stare at me as I stared back.
"For the last time......Grab your stuff and let's go." She demanded once again but I rolled my eyes and looked at my crutches that were under my arms.
"No. I'm not going anywhere right now. I'll come home in a few hours though after I finishing hanging out with Jordan, and if you can't except that then thats on you. I'm not sure why you think you can just control me whenever you freaking want to. It ends now."

"And what also ends now, is this disrespectful attitude towards me. All I'm trying to do is protect you!" She raised her voice.
"Yeah, and how is that working out for you? Huh?! Look at me. I'm on crutches because I've been shot by my own bestfriend. Where the hell were you?!" I yelled at her as I felt a hand touch my shoulder.

"Obviously looking for you and you know that. Don't stand here and pretend like I don't give a damn about you. I'd risk my life for you anytime of the day so don't even try it, Audrey! I'm doing the best that I can right now because our parents aren't in sight to do so, so do me a favor and listen to what I say for Christ sakes! You're making this more than what it is right now!" She shouted back in the same tone I did.

I squinted my eyes, "You know, Leah?"
I began, "Lately, I cannot help to think that actually none of this chaotic shit started happening until you showed up and told me who you were to me."

She instantly looked taken back as Jordan and Tyler lightly gasped and exchanged looks at my comment.
"You did not just say that." She replied, shocked that I was pinning her for the blame of everything that has taken place so far.
"But I did." I confirmed, standing my ground. I knew that was a bit too far, but she needed to know that I was just trying to prove my point and she keeps pushing it.

"So you're saying I'm the blame for all the things that's happened to us?" She questioned while raising one of her eyebrows.
"Basically. Because every time I'm around you? Something bad always end up happening. Maybe we've had it all wrong. Maybe it's you I should be keeping my distance from."
"Audrey, stop. You don't mean that." Tyler pitched in, making me look at him.
"Stay out of this, Tyler."

I looked back at her and she suddenly stepped back, showing that my words affected her greatly.
"Well, okay. Since you 'strongly' believe that I'm the reason why your life isn't at its greatest right now, then I guess you're right, Audrey. I'll leave you be since you're 'old enough to make your own decisions'." She shrugged and walked back the door, motioning Tyler to follow her as she opened the door.
"After all I've done? You really gone say that to me?" She looked back at me as Tyler gave me a glance and then left out the door.

I didn't respond as I stood there and watched her.

"Alright. That's how you feel? Well screw you then." She mumbled and shook her head before slamming the door.
