Still in Mia's POV--------
I opened my eyes as the sunlight hit both my eyes.
I squinted my eyes very quickly as I tried to adjust them to the brightness. I knew my mom had came in here to open the curtains. She must really wants me to go blind I see.
"Miaa!" I heard one of my younger siblings call me.I groaned loudly and sat up straight, knowing they're about to burst into my door, yelling at me to get up.
Correct as I was, the door bursted open, almost knocking the belts I had behind it, fall to the floor.
"What do you want?" I asked, annoyed. I'm usually not a morning person, so little things could tick me off quick at the very moment.
"Mom said get up and come eat because she made us all breakfast downst-"
"Yeah, I know." I cut her off, and she immediately gave me a nasty look. Her name was Riley. She's 9 years old. Annoying, irritating, talks too much, nosy as hell, and yeah, everything else siblings do that pisses you off to the absolute max.
She stood still as she continued to look at me in slight anger because I had cut her off in the middle of her sentence. She hates when someone does that.
"Okay? I got the information, now get out." I pointed towards the door.
She stood still a little longer.
"Hey, remember that movie called The Grinch Who Stole Christmas?" She suddenly asked me, changing her mood.
"Yeah?" I answer in slight confusion.
"Hmm, well was that you playing that role?" She asked while grinning.I squinted my eyes at her as she giggled to herself.
I looked behind me and grabbed one of my pillows, immediately launching it forward at her.
Unfortunately, I missed when she slammed the door shut, still laughing loudly all the down the stairs.
I sighed and rolled my eyes, getting out of bed to get dressed for school.
--------
I got off the bus, and headed straight for the building doors like everyone else.
Then suddenly, realization started to me as I remembered what happened earlier today around 3. I was being chased by someone while I snuck out for a run.
I don't know if it was a dream or if it was real. It most definitely felt real to me though.I took a few deep breaths to calm my nerves as I hit the familiar corner, throwing those thoughts into the back of my mind for later. I needed to think about other things.
When I turned the corner I saw everyone at our usual spot. I even saw Hailey, which made me plaster a small smile on my face. I was glad that she was getting along with them.
"Hey everyone!" I spoke, and all eyes were on me."Wassup!" Connor spoke first.
"There's my sunshine." Nick said, coming toward me to hug me.I smiled and hugged him back, looking at Audrey who had her back towards me, looking inside of her locker.
I looked at Liam and he gave me a small smile and waved.
I shrugged my suspicions off and went towards Hailey.
"Hey!" I squealed loudly, and on the corner of my eye I saw Audrey look up.
"Hey, are we still gonna hang out this afternoon after school?" She asked.
"Yeah, just ride with me on the bus afterschool because I didn't drive my car today."
"Alright, sounds cool."I nodded my head and look at Audrey when she turned around. She looked completely frustrated and frightened. I wanted to go over there and ask her what's wrong but then I asked myself.....what was the point? She's not gonna give me any answers so that's a complete waste of time.
