-------

I woke up to the sun shining brightly through the curtains, practically blinding me as I squinted my eyes to see.

I yawned and stretched my muscles, getting out of the bed to close the curtains.......Checking my phone, it was only on 56 so I decided to charge it up..

Halfway down the stairs, I heard the sound of something being cut, so apparently someone was cooking..

I walked into the kitchen to see Leah cutting some strawberries.

She turned around.
"Good morning." She smiled to me and turning back to cutting the strawberries..
"Good morning.." I said back. I didn't want to sound off because of what I heard last night from their conversation so I tried to sound normal as possible...let's hope she doesn't notice.

"Where's Audrey?" I asked, walking up towards the counter to grab a strawberry.
"Tyler took her back to my house to grab her uniform and drive her to school today. I was gonna do it but he insisted.." She told me.

I nodded and threw the top part of the strawberry away before taking a bite out of it...

The silence filled as I glanced around Tyler's well organized kitchen...
"What's wrong?" She suddenly asked me, tilting her head to the side a little as my eyes stopped on her.
"Nothing..." I say.

She looked at me a little longer before closing the lid to the container...
"Yes there is, I can see it in your face and you're trying to hide it." She mumbled and walked over towards the refrigerator.
"So what's up?"

"There's nothing wrong Leah. Seriously, I'm good." I say with a small chuckle.

She put a hand on her hip and rose her eyebrows...
"How long have we've known each other?"
"About 14 years..."
"Exactly.....so whatever it is that's bothering you, you can tell me. You tell me everything else, what's wrong with telling me now?"

I didn't say anything as she walked over towards the plates..
"Last night........I was on my way to the bathroom.....and I overheard your conversation with Audrey....." I finally told her..

She stopped what she was doing and slowly looked up at me...
"You didn't say anything about you meeting anyone at the bar? Why is that?"

She took her eyes off of me as she began thinking of what to say...
"I-I don't know.." She mumbled...

"Are you sure you don't know? Because it looks like it to me that you weren't even gonna tell me at all.." I crossed my arms.
"Are you seriously getting mad about this? I was gonna tell you okay?" She defended herself..

I shook my head and rolled my eyes, turning around and began to walk away..
"This isn't about that is it?" She asked, making me turn back around.

"This is about the girl I met at the bar last night, and if it is, explain why you're mad about it....Are you jealous or something?"

"Jealous? Really Leah?" I scoffed in disbelief at her...
"Yeah, jealous. That's how you're acting right now...Why? I don't know because I only just met her yesterday.." She raised her voice.
"And you also got her phone number too." I added to her sentence.
"So?" She shrugged.

"What do you mean so? How are you gonna get her phone number when you don't even know what's going on with us yet?"
"Us?" She repeated with a question..

I rose one my eyebrows.
"Oh don't even go there Leah. You know what the heck I'm talking about..."

"If you're asking what's happening between me and you then I'm here to tell you that there's nothing going on here.."

Ouch...

"There isn't?" I asked her.
"How dare you say that Leah..." I began to speak in anger..
"Ever since that night we got drunk and that happened, you've been all over me. You flirt here and there with me and I do it back. You even sometimes kiss me, so don't try and say that there's nothing going on when clearly there is.."

I was now even more upset after she tried to deny the truth.

She didn't say anything as she continued to avoid eye contact with me..
"You know what?" I put my hands up.

"I can't do this....." I shook my head at her, stepping away..
"Lauren, wait..." She began coming towards me...

I couldn't stay here...I needed a break from everything and everyone. I needed to leave and I think that's what I'm gonna do..

"I'm leaving..." I announced with anger, going up the stairs as she followed behind me....

I barged the door opened and went over towards the bed to get my phone and charger. I had money storage inside of my phone case. I needed to check how much I got so that I could call for an Uber...
"Lauren, just listen to me.." She begged.

I ignored her as I past her and out the room, stomping down the stairs.

I sped walked towards the door and opened it, only to have it closed again by her hand.
"Can you wait just a second?!" She shouted at me.

I instantly turned around towards her.
"What?!" I hollered at her.
"You're seriously gonna walk away over something extremely petty right now?!"
"Is that what this is now?!" She added.
"This isn't all just about that Leah!"
"Then what is it then, huh?!"

I looked at her and then opened the door back up and she immediately grabbed my arm.
"Let me go." I warned her.

She didn't listen as she continued hold onto my arm.
I sighed deeply and rolled my eyes. I was full of anger and I wanted to leave as soon as possible before I did something I was definitely gonna  regret later on...

"Leah.....Let. Me. Go.." I warned her again.

"No, I'm not letting you go!" She yelled at me.
"Why?!" I yelled even louder.

"Because I love you!"

I stopped trying to get out of her grip and looked at her...

"As a friend? Or more?" I whispered coming closer towards her so that we were face to face.

No answer....

"That's what I thought......You don't know and that's the problem..."
I mumbled, stepping away.

I opened the door even wider and began walking out of it and she didn't stop me this time...
"See you around, Leah."

Silence filled between the both of us as I walked further away from the house while she watched me..

I didn't want to look back so I kept my head straight as I continued down the sidewalk walking wherever my legs took me..
