"And here we are." I felt a hand shake my shoulder, waking me up instantly as I sat up in the seat, taking in on what I was seeing.
We were parked infront of a small sized one story house that had a huge front yard filled with plants and other things that made the front yard look like a beautifully designed garden."Nice home." I complimented as I reached in the back of her car for my crutches before opening the door and getting out. The weather was starting to get a bit warmer outside considering the fact that the season of spring was right around the corner.
"Thanks. We've just recently moved into this house like a few months ago, so." She mumbled to me as she put the key into the lock. Before she got a chance to turn it and open up the door, it already opened and appeared infront of us was a boy about in his early teens standing at the door in his pajamas with a headset on, and a Xbox controller in one hand.
"You're back early." He chuckled to Jordan as he looked at me and then backed away for us to come in.Jordan walked in first and then pushed him backwards a little as she motioned me to follow her through the house. The inside of the house was very modern as I might say.
"Who's your friend?" I heard the boy questioned her as he followed us."None of your damn business now go away." She snapped as she grabbed my arm and slammed the door in his face to her what seemed to be her room. I managed to stifle a laugh and shake my head as I turned around to examine everything in her room.
Her walls were light gray with lots of arts and crafts hanging on the wall. Her bed set was dark blue and white that perfectly went with her headboard that was almost the size of a 65 screen inch TV.Just kidding. But it was big though.
"So before we get into all.....of this," She motioned with her hands as I still examined her room out of amazement. She has really great art skills.
"Do you want anything to drink or snack on? I know today's lunch was probably a bit horrifying." She jokes as she stepped infront of what seemed to be a mini fridge."Oh, no thanks. Leah actually came up to the school today and brought Little Caesars which unfortunately was weird because she's never done that ever before but yeah...." I shrugged while sitting in her computer desk chair that sat right next to her bed.
She suddenly rose her eyebrow,
"Any reason to why she did that?" She asked as I scanned her room some more before landing on my eyes on a picture that took total interest in me at most.
"I don't know.....I'm trying to figure that out actually because today our principal came in with two police officers to take Mia in at the station for questioning about Ava." I told her. Even though I may have a clue, I still don't know what Leah did to have that situation happen in the first place."What happened with Ava?" She questioned as she took off her jacket and tossed it into her closet that she just opened.
I gulped in response, debating whether or not I should tell her that Ava's gone missing due to Mia and that Leah shot in her head, killing her instantly. I honestly can't wipe that scene from my head. All I can see is the terrified expression Ava had on her face the moment she got shot and then collapsed next to me. Her eyes were big and wide as they scolded me when she lied there.......
Warning: Flashback..
"You leave me no choice, Audrey. If Mia hasn't done it yet, then this must be a difficult task to do............you deserve to die after what you've done to her." She hissed while putting her finger on the trigger.
"For what I've done to her? Do you know what she's done to me?! Pretended to be my bestfriend so she could get information for the people she works with now for almost four fucking years, and not to mention that she's not even the age she says she is. She's a whole fake! Everything she told everyone is a lie! I bet Mia isn't even her real name........but no, here you are thinking you know everything.............Im glad I received this photo. Because now I've made quick connections and it's already posted and up for everyone to see, I did it to show you the type of person I really am........who's the weak one now, huh?!" I said, and she balled her face up before coming even closer towards me."Good bye, Audrey. No one will miss you anyways." And with that she finally focused on her aim as she pointed for my fore head.
The sound of a gun went off and I shut my eyes so I didn't have to witness what just took place........there was a long moment of silence as I didn't dare to move before I re opened my eyes to see her body fall to the ground next to me. Her gun fell out of her hand as her eyes shut, blood began to pour out of her head like crazy, making me scoot back so it wouldn't touch me.
My eyes remained on her now still body until I heard footsteps run towards my direction.......
Warning: End of Flashback
I flinched as I felt a hand touch my shoulder and immediately shot my eyes to Jordan staring down at me in concern..
"You okay?" She asked me as I gazed down at my now trembling hands. I can still hear the sound of that gun going off. It's a nightmare and it just won't go away."I-I-I.....t-there's something you need to know, and you can not tell anyone under any circumstances." I suddenly stood up, grabbing her by the shoulders, staring deeply into her eyes to show her that I was being serious.
She paused in response for a few seconds before nodding her head, waiting for me to tell her what I need to say.
"I promise I won't say a word........what is it?" She rose an eyebrow in anticipation as my heart raced quickly before I finally started speaking again.."Ava's dead........and it's....technically my fault."
