What Happened?

As I continued to scan at everyone while they continued to argue back and forth, I gripped the gun harder in my hand.

I wanted to do it.

But deep down, I knew I shouldn't pull the trigger. It wasn't right for me to make a permanent decision such as this...so I removed my finger from the trigger....There's still unsolved problems going around here and me leaving this earth most definitely isn't gonna help..

Looking at everyone again, I started to feel dizzy. Everything felt as if time was moving in slow motion all of a sudden...I didn't know what was happening and why it was, so I started to panic, stepping backwards, and dropping the gun..

Eventually everyone stopped yelling and shouting to see what was happening with me.
"Audrey?!" I heard Leah call as she ran over to me.

At the exact moment, I fell backwards and Jordan caught me in her arms.

I was laid down on the floor, trying to keep my eyes open as long as possible.

Glancing up, I looked at Leah as she touched my face. I've seen her scared before but not like this.

Everything was almost a blur and I could barely hear the noises that were being made by everyone.

Opening my eyes again, I seen Leah hovering over me while holding her phone up to her ear.

I could hear the fear in her voice and she was also shaking.

I grabbed her hand and squeezed it very lightly to show her that I was still here.

Fighting to stay awake longer, I lifted my head up just a little to see someone coming in the door way with a rush.

My vision was still blurry so I couldn't tell who it was, and my eyes were getting heavier, that's when I finally laid my head back down.

Everything went black....

Flickering my eyes open, I instantly brought my left arm above my head to help adjust to the bright light in the room I was in...

Looking around, I started to realize that I was laying down in a hospital bed.

How did I get here? What happened?

Starting to freak out, I immediately sat up on the bed, looking at all the wires connected to my arms.
"You're awake.." I heard a deep voice say from afar.

Turning my head, I looked to see Tyler slumped in a chair with a blanket over him. Did he stay here with me all this time?
"Tyler....What happened?" The first question I asked.

He took a deep breath, removing the blanket off him and sat up straight, stretching his muscles out..
"I don't know yet. Yesterday, I was on my way home from work when Leah called me to tell me to stop by, and when I came in, I saw you on the floor of the living room and she only told me that the paramedics were coming, she didn't tell me what happened before that, so we all waited for them to come, I calmed her down, and Leah and I took my truck and came here to make sure you were okay since Leah couldn't do it by herself. When she came here, she sat here for hours until I finally convinced her to go home and rest.....She's still pretty shaken up..."
"I left around 2 this morning to check up on her and then I came back, I've been here since then." He explained to me as he ran his few fingers through his hair.

I didn't say anything expect nod, still not remembering what happened.

"Thank you.....for staying here. I really appreciate it." I said, looking at him with a smile, fiddling with my hands.
"No problem...."

The silence filled as I still glanced around the room. I hate being in hospitals sometimes, it creeps me out so much.

I had a slight headache and I wanted to get rid of it fast.

Only thing I remember from yesterday is going home with Leah and Jordan after discovering those photos that Jordan showed me that day. And we were going to a place to talk, and going to Leah's house was the only option....We went there......and that's about it for now..

"Are you okay?" He asked me. Staring at me until I looked up into his light hazel eyes.

I nodded, even though I was straight up lying but I didn't want him to know.

To be honest, I was confused. I desperately wanted to know how I ended up here.

Not noticing that Tyler got up from the chair until I seen his legs standing beside the bed..He didn't say anything as he sat down beside me and pulled me close into his arms for a hug.....I didn't hesitate as I wrapped my arms around his neck, taking in the scent of his cologne that smelt good.

His chest area felt really strong and that's what made me smile a little for some reason.

"Look, I know we only just met but you look like you could use a hug and I figured now would be a good time.." He mumbled in a low deep voice as he hugged me tighter.

I nodded, resting my chin on his shoulder, closing my eyes as I took in this short moment.

There was a silence that filled for about a minute until he said something.

"I'm gonna go down to the cafeteria on the floor to buy something this morning for breakfast. I'll let the nurse know that you're awake.." He said, letting go of me.

His arms felt warm but once he let go of me, I started to feel a little cold for some reason.
"Okay." I said softly, watching him as he went towards the door.

He stared at me a little longer before exiting the room.

A few seconds after he left, I was about to lay back down when I heard a small vibration nearby.
Taking a few glances around, I managed to find my phone sitting on the table next to me on its charger.

Taking my phone off the charger, I brought it closer towards my face to read the percentage: 89%

Checking for the message that I seen pop up before I picked up the phone, I unlocked it to see who it was from.

Opening up the app, I squinted my eyes to see who it was.

Xavier.
