Psssst. Hey 👋 Now carry on....;)———————
After everything that has happened today, we all decided to go to Connor's house. At first, Connor didn't agree with it because he didn't want Xavier there but we had to convince him to let him come, because we all needed to fix this before it got worse.
"Now, since we've all regrouped and settled down, I think you two...should start explaining what the hell happened earlier back in the cafeteria today." I said motioning Xavier and Connor, who were separated by far.
We sat and waited for about 2 minutes to see who would say something first between them, but neither said anything.
"Would one of you say something? No one's gonna get anywhere with this, if neither of you be the bigger person and speak!" Mia yelled, breaking the silence.Connor deeply sighed, shaking head. Connor is never quiet, so whatever Xavier said or did, must've hit a nerve.
"Well what Xavier told me is that they both were clowning around talking about each others' mom and Xavier said something too serious and took it way too far, and that's what made Connor get up and lash out on him." Ariana explained, obviously annoyed that she had to do the talking.I rose an eyebrow at her, and then at them.
"Wait a minute..." Mia said hopping off the bar counter. We all turned around giving our attention to her.
"So, you mean to tell me that all of this is about a he say/he say?""Ye-"
"No." We heard a deep voice say.
"Whatever he told you was a bullshit lie." He gritted through his teeth. We all looked at Connor, who was death glaring Xavier.
"What do you mean no? What happened?" Ariana asked, confused.
He laughed and shook his head briefly and mumbled something under his breath.
"A week before we came back from Winter Break, we both agreed to hang out together and you know...possibly get on good terms...I brung one of my older brothers with me to tag along...."Connor stopped and looked at everyone.
"Go on."
"Xavier ending up being cool with it and so the three of us went out to this bar place down the street from his house...we spent most of that evening..drinking..talking...you know just having fun.....after that we ended up back at Xavier's house to spend the night..."I looked at Xavier who was hanging his head low, he started to show this guilty expression on his face and tried to hide it.
"Later on, Xavier and my brother decided to make a bet to see who would win in a Madden match, they went on with that and I somehow wandered off to go use the bathroom. On my way back, I walked past this room that was barely opened...as I kept walking....something told me to just turn around and go back, and so I did.....I opened the door and saw tons of pictures on the wall next to this computer stand...and when I got a closer look.....the pictures were pictures of us...."I rose my eyebrow at him, as we all gave him a confusing look.
"Pictures? Of us?" Ariana asked, confirming again.
He nodded.
"As in all of us...and next to them where these types of tasks or missions depending on the person.....and after I found out I went and confronted him about it but then he tried to bribe me with money to keep quiet."We all looked at Xavier.
"Is this true?" Mia shouted at him.He didn't answer as he kept his head down in his hands.
"Is this true!" She shouted louder while getting closer.
"Yes! It's true, okay? It's true." He shouted back at her, standing up.Nick immediately got up from his bar stool and pulled Mia back.
I squinted my eyes at Xavier. I was completely confused I couldn't even think straight.
"Explain everything right now." Liam demanded.Xavier took a deep breath and shook his head.
"No. I can't."
"What do you mean you can't? You already did all of this behind our backs!" I blurted out.
"No, just trust me. It's for you guys' own safety."
"Bullshit." Mia said."You really think we're gonna believe what you say after what we just found out? We don't have any choice but not to trust you.." I told him.
"Look I can explain, none of this is my—"
He was cut off by Connor grabbing him by his shirt, shoving him towards the door.
"Until you can tell us the truth about you and your stupid plans..." He said while shoving him out the door.
"Don't come back and don't even think about coming near any of us."And with that he slammed the door in his face.
When Connor walked away from the door, Xavier banged on the door. He didn't stop until about three more times after, then it got quiet.
"Fine!"
"Believe me or not....all of you need to watch your backs!"We heard his footsteps leave and disappear.
"Well that's a big twist." Ariana sighed.
"You can say that again." Liam agreed. After it got quiet again, the 6 of us stood or sat in the living room....in silence. Glancing at one another. No one really knows what to do.
"Okay come on, we're not going to just sit here and think hard about this situation. He's probably just trying to mess with us like usual." Mia said."Nah. That room with all of those pictures looked pretty dangerous and serious. Whatever he has going on can be something terribly bad." Connor mumbled.
The room went silent again as everyone wandered into their own thoughts.
"So, really what we all can do is just wait....like literally wait."
"We wait until he tells us what's up with him and then we can go further into this...do not under any circumstances, tell anyone. We don't want anyone involved. Right now it isn't a big deal...we obviously need a distraction so that's why I'm gonna go ahead and host my party here tomorrow night." Connor explained. We all nodded in agreement.
"Wait...but what if he doesn't come around to tell us anything anytime soon?"He has a point, and Xavier did say he couldn't tell us, and that reason must be big.
"Then we're all gonna have to go to the next step.""And what is that step?" I asked, titling my head to the side.
"Let's just say....it involves some interesting interrogation."
I rose an eyebrow.
First my sister and now one of my friends? What the hell is going on?
