Audrey's POV

--------

A few minutes after Leah left for work, I decided to lay back down and go back to sleep since I can't seem to do that at night for some reason now..

I slept for about two hours until I smelt something good coming from downstairs in the kitchen, which woke me up.

I jumped up and sniffed about four times before realizing it was either waffles or pancakes, including bacon.

"Food." I whispered to myself and instantly got up out of my bed.

I grabbed two pairs of white ankle socks from my drawer and then threw on a long sleeve pajama shirt since it was kinda cold this morning.

I opened the door and went down the stairs and into the kitchen to find Lauren leaning over the counter top, trying to grab the syrup from the cabinet.
"I got it." I said and she turned around, stepping out of the way as I stepped on my tippy toes to get it.

Perks of being a short ass.

"Thanks, I was sort of struggling." She said laughing as I gave her the syrup.

"Yeah. I'm glad I came down here. I smelt food so it was instinct to come here." I flipped my hair as she handed me a plate of food.

She laughed loudly as I smiled sitting down on the bar stool at the counter.
"I know, that was my purpose of making this food. So enjoy.." She shook her head.
"Thank you, I'm pretty sure it's gonna taste good. I didn't know the both of you could cook..." I say honestly.

"Oh trust me girl, you're gonna be begging me to cook after you eat my food." She rose her eyebrows playfully.

"Hmm, we'll see then." I say while putting syrup over the waffles she made.

She took her phone off the charger and began recording me.
"I want this to be memorable, so go ahead. I wanna show Leah this once she gets home.." She laughed, waiting for me to take the first bite.

I rolled my eyes and then picked my fork up, taking a piece away from the waffle and stuffing it in my mouth.

After a few seconds of chewing it, my eyes went a bit wide as I was totally impressed on how good it was.
"Wow.." I say, swallowing the rest.

She stopped recording and did a small bow but didn't go down all the way because of her rib.
"I do my best.." She says while grabbing her plate and sitting on the couch.

She sat down and began texting on her phone. My guess it's Leah.

I took my plate and decided to sit down next to her.

I sat there and ate the rest of my food until she was done playing on her phone.

"I have a question." I say to her and she looked up at me.
"Okay, shoot.."

"What's....really going on between you and Leah? Not that it's a problem with me or anything, I'm actually happy for the both of you, I'm just curious and nosy if you don't mind.." I chuckled while shrugging.

She smiled and looked away.
"Well....to be honest, it's a little complicated right now." She said.

"Complicated, how?"

"I say it's complicated because ever since that night.........we both got drunk which was a few months ago, I think that brought us closer ever than before. So I can't really tell you what's really happening because I'm sure to be exact..."

"That night? What do you mean by that?"

When I asked her that question she turned her head a little, trying to hide her smile she had plastered on her face.
