I froze..

What does she mean she's my sister? That's completely impossible..

"What?" I whispered, squinting my eyes at her.

"I'm your sister.." She repeated again, looking down at the floor.

I suddenly paused and then let out a small laugh. This lady is seriously funny, if she thinks I'm gonna believe that she's my sister.

"Is this some type of joke? Cause' if it is, it's not funny..." I crossed my arms at her while standing on the first step.
"Do you see me laughing?" She asked, not breaking away eye contact.
No...but you can possibly have great acting skills....you never know.." I shrugged, leaning on the wall.

Pftt, in her precious dreams. There's absolutely no in hell of way that this 29-year old human being is my sister. Seriously.

She sighed deeply and turned around.

I watched her every step as she made her way towards a small brown bookcase she had next to her living room TV. The screen was still on pause.

She grabbed a yellowish medium-sized folder out and looked inside, coming back towards me.
"Here.." She mumbled as she stretched her hand out to give me the folder.

I hesitated at first before grabbing the folder from her hands.

Looking inside, I grabbed a sheet of paper that was sitting in front of all the other ones.

It was a birth certificate with my name on it, in bold black letters: Audrey Jae Washington. Including my birthday, the pounds I weighed and etc...

I looked up at her, still unconvinced.
"Why do you have this? The only people that should have this is my mom and dad, including the hospital I was born in." I stated, roughly.

"There's more stuff inside that folder that I would like you to see." She said, completely ignoring the fact that I asked her question.

Oh right I forgot, you don't get to ask questions whenever you want and receive answers whenever you want, according to her. Excuses is her middle name.

I glared at her questionably, before looking back inside the folder.

Going back inside the folder for the second time, I pulled out another sheet, examining over it.

It was another birth certificate like the first one I pulled out. Except, it had a different last name on it.
"Brooks?" I say, raising one of my eyebrows at her.

She leaned to the side.

"Why are there two certificates with different last names?"
"Keep going.." She demanded, ignoring my questions once again.

I exhaled and mumbled underneath my breath. What was the point of this? It wasn't gonna change my mind, I still don't believe that she's my sister. It's completely impossible. There's still no way. None.

I continued looking into the folder, only to bring out two more certificates but it had her first name on it. One was with Brooks, the other was with Washington.

"One from mines and one from yours are real...the other one is fake..." She replied, looking at me.

"What do you mean, one is real and one is fake?"
"I don't--"

I slowly looked up at her with a confused face. I didn't know if this was true or not.
"What exactly are you saying?" I asked, stepping off the steps.
