Leah's POV--------
I woke up with a gasp, realizing that I fell asleep while watching TV. Looking around the living room, I stretched my arms out as I yawned, removing myself from under the blanket and standing up from the couch.
Yesterday's events hadn't clicked in my head until I accidentally stepped on Audrey's jacket that was laying on the floor next to the bookshelf.
Oh my god, I need to see her.
I don't care if I hadn't washed my face or even brushed my teeth, I needed to see my baby sister. I haven't seen her eyes open ever since she collapsed yesterday. I wonder why that happened? God, I hope she's okay. I'll never forgive myself if anything bad happened to her.
Grabbing my phone, I checked to see Tyler's message saying that she just woke up. I felt somewhat relieved that she was up, but in order for me to relax, I needed to see her face to face.
I grabbed my car keys out of my coat pocket and rushed to put on my boots. I immediately put on my coat on. not caring that it wasn't zipped and headed for the door, texting Tyler that I was on my way.
Opening the front door, I was about to leave when I heard a voice.
"And where do you think you're going?"I stopped dead in my tracks as I turned around.
"Remember the deal we made?" Taylor smirked, coming closer towards me.I balled my fists up.
"How the hell did you get back in my house?" I gritted through my teeth.
"Umm....that's for me to know...and you to never find out."I rolled my eyes in anger, this cant be happening right now. Please.
"You aren't going to that hospital." She said, walking pass me to close the door back and lock it.
"Taylor. Not now, okay? Just please let me check to see if she's alright then I'll leave straight after that-"
"That's not the agreement we made on." She continued to smirk as she came face to me, making me back up towards the living room.
"Your daughter's flight is almost here, and we have absolutely no problem sending her away again if you're making your choice to go see Audrey. So you have one more chance to decide who's gonna be in your life and who's going away. The choice is yours."I glared at her as she looked at me just a little longer before turning away.
I took my chance to swing my arm and connect it to her face when she instantly stopped my arm from going any further.
I kept balling my fist in the air as I glared her in the eyes while she stood there with a big grin on her face. She winked at me before take a blow to my jaw, and shoving me to the floor.
"Next time think before you try and pull a stunt like that."Not listening to what she just said, I kicked her leg making her jerk back and she instantly climbed on top of me. Pinning my arms down.
"You just love to keep trying me, don't you?" She smiled while putting pressure on my arms as I stared at her with anger.I tried wiggling out of her grip but she held strong. Why the heck was I becoming weak? I was always stronger than her.
"I've been waiting for this moment." She whispered, making me stop wiggling to look at her.
"What the hell are you talking about?" I glared at her in confusion. Before she said anything she lowered her head. I thought she was going to kiss me but she went for my neck and began planting kisses on it.
"Ew, you disgusting freak!" I yelled, trying to move from under her to set myself free.
"Your little friend Lauren has had some fun with you. Now it's my turn."It was no use as she kept going down further and further, almost to my chest.
I wasn't gonna let this happen so I used all of my strength to headbutt her, causing her to touch her forehead with one of her hands and wince in pain, leaving one of my hands free.
I took another chance and punched her in the face, and struggled to get up.I felt disgusted as I immediately began wiping my neck off. I couldn't believe she just did something like that.
"Don't you dare do anything like that again." I warned her.
"You know you want me." She confidently stated as she smirked at me.
"Never in a million years." I backed away, calming my breathing down since my heart was racing.Taylor's phone began ringing and she dug inside her pocket to answer it.
"Hello?" She spoke, trying to cover up her breathing.I couldn't hear the other person on the line so I stood quietly, wishing I could've gone to the hospital.
"She's early?"I snapped my head in her direction as my face lit up. Was she talking about my daughter?
"Alright, I'll tell her."Taylor hung up the phone and looked up.
"Looks like luck is on your side today. Let's go, your daughters flight arrived early." She began walking towards the door. "You must be out of your mind if you think I'm riding in the same car as you." I crossed my arms at her.She sighed loudly and rolled her eyes.
"Fine. Take your car. I'll be behind you at all times so don't make any change of plans."I fixed my coat and zipped it up, walking past her towards the door and out to my car.
If you're wondering how did I get my car here since I ditched it that day I was being chased by those two men with guns, well Tyler had someone put gas in it and he drove back here.
I seriously have to thank him for that.I got in my car and started it up. Driving down the street towards the airport.
Checking in rear view mirror I saw that Taylor meant what she said about following me. I just hope she doesn't come to close or I'm really going off...
---
Arriving at the airport 45 minutes later, I found a parking spot near the doors and got out, not waiting for Taylor to pull up.
I locked my doors to my car and eagerly sped up to walk inside the busy airport.
My heart was racing at its fastest rate at this point. I was minutes away from seeing my daughters face after three years. I wonder how tall she has grown to.
"Slow down. You're making a scene idiot." Taylor whispered as we walked side by side.Even though she was right, I only slowed down just a little. We made it inside and the airport was extremely busy.
There were people rushing past, running to catch their flights. Suitcases being rolled all over the floor and lots of commotion. It was sort of giving me a headache.
Taylor's phone rung once again and she answered it, pulling my arm for me stop. I immediately yanked it away and she glared at me.
What the hell I'm not your child, I'm 28 years old, almost 29.
I couldn't wait to see her. It was all I could think of right now. I wanted to hug her, and kiss her on the forehead. Tell her how much I missed her and how the separation between us wasn't my fault.
Looking around, I seen a family passing by as the father held his daughters in both arms while the brothers ran towards who seemed to be their mothers arms. It was a happy moment to see something like that. The looks on their faces told it all that they missed her a lot.
I almost cried watching the scene when someone violently tapped my shoulder.
I was about to snap on her for touching me when I hear someone shout,
"Mom!"
I snapped my head at the girl standing from afar looking at me while her bag in her hands.
I gasped in complete shock and my legs took off as quick as possible, running towards her. I was crying while I was running. I knew that I was crying because I felt some of the tears running down my face.
I saw as she dropped her bag and ran full speed in my direction until we both connected until each other's arms.
I hugged her as tight as I could. Closing my eyes as I spun her around. Some people were watching as we spun in a bunch of circles. Right now, I couldn't expressed how happy I was.
We both stopped spinning finally and I took the moment to look at her.We both smiled at each other and began hugging again.
"I promise you that I'll never let you leave from my sight ever again." I whispered in her ear.I kissed her head and hugged her tighter as she nodded.
Thank you, God.
