----------We finally arrived at Morgan's house around 11:52 P.M. Tyler and I helped Audrey towards the front door. I ranged the doorbell as we stood there, a few seconds later the door opened.
"Hey." I gave her a weak smile as she stepped aside with a confused expression.Me and Tyler followed her into the living room that I was familiar with due to the few times Me and Morgan slept on the couch together. I greatly enjoy her company and after tonight, I probably won't be able to say that after I tell her what I did. She has a right to know and I don't see any point in hiding it. It's not fair to her at all.
"And here you are.........tomorrow after I get off work, we are definitely getting you to a professional doctor to take another look at that so you can get ahold of some crutches.." I told Audrey as she exhale deeply before we lifted her injured leg onto the couch.
"Yes, ma'am." She mocked my tone, making me scoff playfully and look at Tyler and Morgan behind me.
"Well....I guess I should going. I'll text you tomorrow." He waved at us and began to disappear."Alright, bye. Thanks for all your help." I nodded at him, looking at the corner of my eye at Morgan. She was definitely giving me glares.
The silence kicked in after we all heard the door close.
"So.....judging by taking a look at her leg, I assume that a lot of shit went down today." She began speaking making me look at Audrey, who's eyes was half closed.I held a finger up at her and tapped Audrey to wake up for a second.
"Audrey........this is Morgan....Morgan this is Audrey...." I introduced them to each other.
Morgan looked at her and didn't say anything except look at me.
"Don't try and change the subject by introducing me to your sister that I'm just now finding about." She let out, raising her arms out to express her frustration.I gave her a look including an eyebrow raised and so did Audrey.
"Excuse me?" I looked at her eyes in disbelief."I've been through some things today and I'm tired. You wanted to know things about me and I've shared things with you but every time I'm about ready to open up to you, something comes up. Please don't force me into telling you everything. I am still not ready-"
"And how long will it actually take before you fully open up to me? She asked, crossing her arms at me.I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose, something I haven't done in a long time. It was late at night. I needed to eat, sleep and relax my mind after today's events and here she is, standing infront me. Making things worse than they already are. Can she just let this go for now?
"Morgan, can we please finish discussing this tomorrow? I just wanna lay down, okay?" I opened my eyes after closing them. I was so tired that I couldn't even hold my balance anymore so I sat down next to Audrey who somehow managed to fall asleep right away. I need her sleeping skills as soon as possible.
"Mom?" I heard a low voice say, making me look behind Morgan. It was Lexi in her pajamas with her phone in her hand. She must've heard us talking. She came over to me and gave me a long hug, making me relax a little. I haven't seen her since this morning.
"Hey, how are you feeling?" I asked as we separated a while after.
"I'm good, just woke up because I took a little nap. I aced my biology test today." She smiled making me do the same. It still warms my heart to see her face again after those tough three years.
"Ooo, okayy. Now that is what I like to hear." I high fived her and we both laughed.
"We're celebrating that tomorrow, don't plan anything." She nodded and then looked at the couch with a concerned expression.
"Who's.....that?" She pointed towards Audrey, making her open her eyes and look at her.Morgan looked at me and crossed her arms again and tilted her head to the side.
I sighed quietly and put my hand on Lexi's shoulder, lightly guiding her towards the couch where Audrey was now slouched up on, yawing from the minute nap she just took.
"Lexi......this is Audrey.....your aunt." I said with a bit of happiness to it. These two have finally see each other face to face.Lexi went and sat next to Audrey and shook hands with her.
"Hey." Audrey let out a whisper by accident. She cleared her throat making Lexi smile and they both hugged each other.
"You look just like your mother." Audrey chuckled after give her a long look.
"Yeah she does." I pitched in, "But you wanna know who she acts like the most?" I rose my eyebrows at Audrey as she looked at me.
"Me." She smiled, looking back at Lexi.I nodded in response, and soon the silence filled.
I stopped watching them as I glanced over at Morgan who was starting up the stairs.
"So I'll leave you two to talk and get to know each other, I'll be upstairs with Morgan." I announced to them and went towards the stairs. Before I went up them, I turned around to see them talking away immediately and laughing, making me smile once again before I finally headed up the stairs....When I walked into her room, she was sitting on the bed with her phone in her hands.
I took my shoes off and jacket, I don't know if after I tell her that I cheated on her, she's gonna let me stay here for the night but I chose to get comfortable anyway.
"Look, I know you're upset me about this but I just need you understand that I-"
"Stop." She lifted her hand up, and I immediately closed my mouth.
"You don't have to keep explaining yourself to me. I know you're having a rough time going through whatever there is but I just don't get why you won't let me in. You're all closed up like a screwed box. You damned near know every detail about me and it's only been two months, and yet I barely know who your freaking family members are!" She threw her pillow at me, which I caught and sat it on her bed.
"Morgan, calm down. You're making this situation a big deal when it doesn't even have to be that." I tried saying to get her to settle down. She was fired up.Every time I looked up at her I kept thinking of earlier when Me and Taylor kissed. The first time caught me off guard and I didn't kiss back but the second time...........it was all me. No excuses....What the heck was I doing?!
"I-I'm sorry for what I did, okay? You deserve way better." I mutter towards myself, while shaking my head.
She squinted her eyes a little after what I just said.
"What are you talking about?" She questioned me.Crap. She heard me. Oh no.
I didn't respond right away and that made her get up from her bed and walk towards me.
"What do you mean by me deserving better? What did you do?" She looked me in the eyes. I have to tell her.I closed my eyes for a split second and then opened them.
"Leah......" She nudged me in the shoulder, making me avoid eye contact now.
"Tell me now." She demanded, forcing me to look her in her eyes."I kissed her......" I whispered..
"What?" She whispered back towards me as if she misunderstood what I had just said. Great. Now I have to repeat myself.
"I said......I kissed her...." I repeated once again and she glared at me for a long time, already knowing who it was without asking me.
She backed away from me and turned around. There was silence for a moment. My heart was racing, impatiently waiting for her next move. How will she react?
"Morgan? Please say something." I begged her as I started walking behind her.
"Don't come any closer." She warned me, making me pause just inches behind her."Morgan, please. I made a mistake." I continued to walk towards her until I was able to touch her and she walked away towards the other side of the room.
"I don't want you here right now. Find a hotel or somewhere else to stay tonight." She flat out said and snatched her phone from her charger."Morgan, please. I don't have time for that, it's late at night and-and there aren't any Uber's out at this time-"
"I don't give a fuck. I don't care where you go at this moment. I just want you out of my house. Now!" She yelled, making me jump a little, but I didn't move a muscle. After a few seconds of silence and me standing there, she glared at me and began dialing on her phone.
"Leave or I'm calling the cops.""You wouldn't do that to me." I mumbled as I walked over towards her to snatch the phone from her when she shoved me backwards a little too hard to make me stumble backwards and hit my head on the dresser behind me.
"Shit." I cursed under my breath as I fell to the floor, grabbing my head."Please just leave. I don't want see you at this very moment. Now go." She pointed her phone towards the door.
I finally gave up and obeyed, walking towards the door to grab my shoes and jacket, and downstairs towards the front door.
