Betrayed

I Don't Understand..

After standing in the hall for a few minutes of thinking, I immediately had to get back to the room to tell Leah and Lauren.

I don't know what I was gonna expect after I told them, I just needed to make sure Leah knew that we were in this specific hospital.
I decided to click the power button on my phone and put it in my pocket, speed walking a little down the hall to find the room again.

After about a minute of searching, I  was about to turn the corner down to the familiar hall, happy that I didn't end up getting lost when I accidentally bumped into someone..

The impact caused me to stumble back a few inches, almost knocking me off my feet.

Once I looked up, about to go off on the person, I immediately pressed my lips together as I stood the person down in shock...

"Xavier?!" I say as he took his hood off his head, glancing around him.

He had on baggy clothes and a hoodie that was about twice his size.

He looked frightened and nervous, and you could clearly tell he hasn't had any sleep in about some days. He didn't say anything except glance around the hall again before grabbing my arm and leading me into a dark room.

"What the hell is going on?-"
"Shhh..." He whispered.

I rolled my eyes even though he couldn't see me and sighed.

After he closed the door he took a deep breath and walked around a little. I switched the lights on but he instantly came and turned them back off..

"Leave the lights off.." He said.

I squinted my eyes in confusion because he was acting weird and I didn't even know what the heck was happening.

"Xavier, what's going on with you?" I asked.

"Look, I'm running out of time but I need you to listen to me.." He started off in a little bit of shaky voice.

Time? What does he mean?
"What do you mean time? I don't get-"
"Just listen." He cut me off once again.

"You need to be cautious around wherever you go Audrey...I meant what I said about the day me and Connor got in a fight..."

"Be cautious? For what?"

He didn't say anything but paced around.

"Be cautious for what?" I asked again in a bit higher voice.

"I can't say....It's not safe..." He mumbled.

"What's not safe?" I asked him another question which he clearly ignored.
"It's best if you don't know...." He answered..

He dug into his pocket.

"Here-just take this...." He immediately grabbed my hand and put a small bottle there.
"What is this?" I asked in curiosity.

"It's something that will help you, you'll find out what it's meant for when the right time comes..."

I rose my eyebrows in complete confusion.

"I'm confused, Xavier what is all this?"

I really was. What the heck is happening and why is he giving me a warning to watch my back?

"Everything will eventually make sense just trust me okay?"  He responded as he went towards the door.

What?

"And why should I trust you?" I asked concerned, still remembering what Connor told us that day.

He paused for a second with his hands on the door.
