This is sort of a long chapter, but hey. The longer the chapter, the better chance something interesting happens, right?Audrey's POV
"She's at Taylor's parents house." I told Lauren as she took a screenshot of the map.
Lauren looked at me.
"What? Why would she go there? I thought we told her not to go, back at the hospital?!" She half shouted, raising her voice.I shrugged in frustration and sighed, glancing around the living room.
"We're gonna have to go there and see what the hell is going on over there. She's possibly in trouble if she called us all of those times." Lauren said while putting on her shoes and coat.
I didn't say anything as I went deep into my thoughts.
It can't be that serious.
I know they're somewhat rivals and have stuff going on against each other but I don't think they'll do anything to harm Leah.
They gotta have at least some heart to not hurt someone that has a daughter.
But who knows? They probably done worse before and I just don't know about it....Leah did say something about that family being built on lies...
Which has me in my thoughts even more........even back to that day she punched Taylor in the kitchen.
I overheard the small conversation they had, when Lauren took me into the bathroom....
Warning: Flashback
**While Lauren took me into the bathroom, I sat on top of the toilet while she searched the cabinets for a first-aid kit...
While she was doing that I started to hear voices coming from a few feet.
I knew it was them talking but I was still curious to find out what was going on with these two and why was they staring at each other that day in Mr. Price's office...
"Now you listen to me..." I heard Ms. Tate began speaking in a whispered tone."We might not have seen each other in awhile but just mark my words and get them through that twisted ass brain of yours..."
My eyes widened as I was right. They did know each other. I knew it from that very moment..
"If you ever think about putting your hands on her again, I will fuck you up so badly the only thing you will be able to touch is the tube connected to your face and to a goddamn machine.....Now do you understand me you ignorant son of a bitch.."
My eyebrows widened for the second time as I still listened, waiting for Taylor's response..
"You're sick.."
"Just like the rest.."The rest?
"We had a deal, and obviously you didn't follow through so now I'm gonna tell her and also show her what type of family you people really are.."
"She won't believe you.." I heard Taylor laugh..
"And you think she'll believe you?"
"Oh don't worry. She's gonna know the full truth soon. And soon she's gonna also know about how this family is built on nothing but lies....so keep it up Taylor..."
