"Come in.." I said in a low voice, laying on my right side, scrolling down on Instagram."Good morning little sister.." Leah said, giving me a small smile..
"Good morning..." I say, shaking my head afterwards.
She came in quietly and sat down on the bed, looking at me.
"What?" I asked her, looking up from my phone."How come you're not dressed, I'm about to leave out in like 10 minutes?" She asked me since I was still in bed with my t-shirt and shorts on.
I looked down at my phone again.
To be honest, I don't even wanna go to school today and today is Friday. Which is very odd because I love school when it's Friday, but today....nah..
"I'm not in the mood for school today. Right now I'm just in a depressed/upset mood and if I go it's just going to make me even more upset than I already am so can I just stay home please? I'll make up everything I miss out, just please....let me stay here.." I begged her, wiping my eyes, making sure I wasn't going to cry again.I've been doing that alot ever since what happened last night. I barely got any sleep because of that.
She looked up at me with a sad face. I knew she felt angry because of my negative attitude, but she also knew it wasn't my fault.
"Yeah, sure. You can stay here. Only because I want you to feel better and I also feel bad because I can't do anything about it...so when I come home from work, the three of us will sit in the living room and hang out. Eat snacks, watch movies and and everything else you want....I heard a little of the conversation you had with Mia yesterday and I just want you to know that I would never leave your side. Ever. Even if it's the last thing I do..."
I looked up at her, sniffing and gave her a smile.
"I don't deserve you." I say while grabbing the napkin she gave me to wipe my eyes.
I was starting to get a headache so I sat up.
"Yes you do...I wouldn't be here if you didn't." She said hugging me.She stood up shortly after, meaning she was about to leave.
She checked her watch.
"Alright, it's about time I get going. According to Lauren's state at the moment, you get to hang with her all day until I get back. Right now she's asleep so do whatever you please just stay out of my room.." She pointed her finger at me at the last part.I suddenly smirked having an ideas to why she told me to stay out of her room.
"Why? Do you two share beds as well?" I asked her, wiggling my eyebrows. She scoffed and rolled her eyes, leaving my room.
I giggled to myself and laid back down, resting my head on the headboard of my bed, before picking my phone back up.
Leah's POV
I arrived at the school just a few minutes later and entered the main office, signing in and off to my classroom.
Sometimes I like to get here early so that I can be well prepared for all the classes that I have to teach throughout the day, but today I decided to go later than usual.
Once I made it to the door after passing a few people that spoke to me, I unlocked the door with the assigned key and entered the room with my work bag.
I sighed quietly as I sat myself down on the desk, thinking about Audrey's face yesterday as she cried in my arms by the car.
I was angry with Mia but I wasn't going to let that interfere with my teaching because at the end of the day, I'm still her teacher and she's still my student. So...being professional it is.
