————————Afterschool, Me and Ms. Tate decided to just drive around town instead of heading straight home right away.....well it was really her idea and I didn't have to ask why...
She obviously didn't wanna go home right away because she didn't wanna run into Lauren.
I told her it wasn't gonna even matter if we went straight home or not because Lauren lives there so they're still gonna see each other regardless.
"Audrey?" She called me as I was busy typing on my phone.
I was texting Connor because he was the next person in line I could trust at the moment, and he didn't try to push me or anything for questions.
"Ms. Tate?" I say, mocking her tone playfully as I continued to type. She let out a breath while stopping at a red light.
"Please don't call me that when we're out of school...it sounds weird now.." She cringed.I nodded, and suddenly smirked. Time for payback.
"Remember a few days ago when you first had me for detention and you had to step outside the classroom to talk on the phone?" I asked, still smirking. She glanced over at me and turned her attention back to the road.
"Yeah, why?"I rose my right eyebrow and shook my head, still smiling inside my head.
Just a couple minutes later I glanced over to her and saw that she was clearly distracted and wasn't even really paying attention. Well that changes in a few seconds.
I looked at the road and saw there was no car infront of us, so I took my chance.
I suddenly screamed and she jumped up instantly, swerving a little on the road.
Once she got in full control of driving the car, she glared at me.
"What the hell Audrey?!" She shouted, sitting up in her seat.I burst into laughter so bad, I ended up dropping my phone on the floor.
She sighed deeply and punched me in the arm hard.
"Ouch....what was that for?" I shouted, still laughing my ass off as she continued down the street."You know what it's for, I could've crashed!"
"Oh calm down, you weren't gonna crash no one is infront of us.." I said, finally breathing normally from laughing so much.
She shook her head.
She finally relaxed her shoulders as she pulled into a McDonald's parking lot, not even thinking about going into the drive-thru line because of how long it was.
"Want something?" She asked, unbuckling her seatbelt."Just get me a strawberry sundae...I'm..not really that hungry.." I lied.
My stomach was growling and I was hungry as hell, but I didn't want her to know why I didn't really eat today. Of course she's gonna ask a billion questions. She's Leah.
I instantly cringed a little at the thought of calling her by her first name for the first time. I guess I gotta keep saying it to get used to it.
"Alright...." She said, stepping outside the car.I watched her as she went inside the building, getting in line behind someone before turning the radio on.
I switched back and forth from the stations until I found one song that I was familiar with...
"Is that a world tour or your girl's tour? I know that you gotta be a thug for her,
this ain't what she meant when she told you to open up more...Yeah, trigger fingers turn to Twitter fingers..Yeah, you gettin' bodied by a singin'—"
