-------Right now I'm at my locker, sorting a few things out inside my binders before the first bell rung, signaling for homeroom.
Leah had to be at work early today and I said why not just go with her instead of riding the bus?
The reason she had to be at work early this morning because she told me she was behind on grading papers and they needed to be done by today so she went ahead and did that while I went to go eat breakfast for the first time in a while actually.
It was good to sit in the cafeteria during the morning time. I missed doing that to be honest.....I miss everything else.....Like the way it was before....
I suddenly shook my head, not in the mood to get into that topic so I continued to organize stuff in my binder.
After about 5 minutes, it was getting close to the bell as more students began to come in.
I was about to close my locker to leave when I felt a tap on my right shoulder.
Turning around, to see Mia standing there with her eyes glued to the floor and behind her was Nick and Connor.I waved to the both of them, which they returned before turning my attention back to Mia who still had her eyes glued to the floor.
"Umm...can we talk? Afterschool?" She mumbled, not making eye contact with me..
I looked up at Nick and Connor to see them looking back with their eyebrows raised. I'm guessing they've convinced her to come talk to me because it looks like she doesn't even wanna to do it herself...which is fine by me.....right?
"Yeah, sure.." I say, closing my locker and turning the lock twice, making sure it was locked.
She nodded her head and then walked away with her head still hanging low like before..
I turn to Connor.
"What's up?" I say."Nothing......we tried...talking to Liam to see what we can do to help him since his grandmother passed away but he's so closed in. He won't say nothing to neither one of us and I'm just trying to look after my bro..." He said to me, while Nick agreed.
I squinted my eyes in confusion and was about to say something but instantly pressed my lips together when I just remembered that Liam lied to all of them and not one person in the group beside me and his mom, knows that he's lying...
I felt that it was my business to tell them that but then again I wanted Liam to be the one to tell them since he had the freaking nerve to do something like that.
I took deep breath.
"Yeah, I'm worried about him too. The best we can all do right now is give him space and then maybe he'll come around. Just wait...." I said to them, I was really telling myself that. Hoping that it's true that he just need space right now and will eventually come around...
He has to...
--------
"Let's go ladies!" Mrs. Garrett shouted in the locker room, telling us to hurry up with changing into our PE uniforms.
Most of the girls began to leave the locker room, all dressed as I'm just now coming in the door.
Sometimes I just wanna have a small talk with the person who allowed PE to be taught in the mornings...seriously. Some people come to school and don't even get to have breakfast so obviously they're gonna be low with energy and super hungry and these fucking giraffes wanna teach PE early in the morning...
I sighed to myself and opened my gym locker, grabbing my shirt and shorts. The shirt was the same kind of blue that's on our uniform jackets with the school name, including the mascot on it. The shorts are white.....yeah I know, retarded right?
But recently, I found out that they had black and gray shorts and sweatpants too, especially for us girls..........no going further into detail for that, but anyways.
I took my shirt off and folded it, putting it up on the shelf of my locker and taking off my pants. It's cold as fuck outside. You should've seen me earlier. I was shaking like a washing machine after it's about to stop....yeah true story....
I threw my shirt on and shorts, walking towards the mirror next to the few stalls they had in here. I glanced around and saw I was the only person left in here so i decided to speed it up by grabbing my lotion and rubbing it on my arms and legs.
Being ashy is something I cannot stand. It absolutely works my nerves to high standards.
After checking the side of my face, I went to go sit on the bench infront of my locker to put my gym shoes on, when suddenly I heard the door open, meaning someone just came in.
The person's footsteps seemed normal as they were walking around, so I'm thinking its someone who forgot something in here or is just coming in late from another class.
I continued to tie my right shoe into a knot when the person's footsteps stopped right beside me.
Glancing at the person's shoes, I slowly looked up to see a unfamiliar face.
"Can I help you?" I asked, looking up at her while I closed my locker, putting the combination lock on it.I grabbed a ponytail holder and pulled all of my hair into a bun.
"Nice seeing you again.." She greeted with a smile, crossing her arms.I stopped what I was doing and turned around to her.
"Again?" I repeat, squinting my eyes in confusion. She nodded her head.
I shook my head.
"I'm sorry, but you must have me confused with someone else because I don't know nor remember meeting you ever before.." I say with my hands up.She didn't say anything except looked at me, in slight disappointment.
She looked hurt after what I said, I knew that wasn't the right words she wanted to hear but it's the truth. I don't recognize her at all.
"You still don't remember me?" She questioned me in shock.I shook my head in confusion once again and turned around to leave the locker room.
"Audrey!" She shouted.
I paused and stopped.
There was dead silence as my back was towards her. Just because she said my name doesn't mean anything, she could've look on the rosters and could be a stalker for all I know.
"Who are you?" Was the question and the most intelligent I asked first.
She mumbled something, which made me turn around.
"How do you still not remember me?-"
"Just answer my question." I cut her off and she immediately looked taken back.I didn't mean it to sound as harsh as it did but I'm curious to find out who this girl is, apparently she knows me but for some reason I can't remember her.
Or...this could be a trick.....
Xavier did say be cautious wherever I went. Maybe this is a setup..
She looked down at the floor and then looked back up at me.
"I can't tell you. It's best if you remember yourself...." She whispered.
What?
