Betrayed

It's Me.

It is now about 5 in the evening and I've been roaming around town in my thoughts. Yes, I skipped school. After what happened this morning, there was really no point in staying there. I'm pretty sure the whole entire school knows now and will probably stare at me tomorrow until their eyes pop out after she tells them.

......What happened to my life?

Just about two months ago, I was happy. I had a boyfriend, trusting friends, a mom, a dad, and even a-sister.............Now it's just.........what?
I don't even know how or what to feel right now......I probably lost my mind already and it hasn't shown yet. My own best friend..........turned against me..........for what? What did I do? Why is this happening?

God, I need answers. That's really all I'm asking for. Simple or not, just tell me. Please....

"Audrey?" Someone called me.

I stopped walking with my hands in my pockets, and turned around. I probably looked about crazy as a person could
be right about now.
"What are you doing walking around town all by yourself?" She asked me in a concerned tone, walking up to me with a bag in her hands.

It was Liam's mom. I just remembered that we hadn't really spoke since the day I told her that he was lying about his grandmother dying. Now that he's locked up, I don't know how this lady is holding it all together. I can't even think straight at all as a matter of fact. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go insane.
"Umm....I'm just.....getting some fresh air...." I instantly came up with answer. Even thought it was true. I know Taylor and them are probably going
around, looking for me already.

Gladly, I was smart enough to turn my phone off and leave it in my locker so they couldn't track where I was going. I also snuck out the gym exits to escape the school building. It was a complete difficult task, but as you can tell, I made it.
"Some fresh air? Are you okay? How did you get here?" She began going about with millions of questions.
"Yes, I'm okay." Liar. "And I took the bus.......can you not tell anyone that you saw me. I don't wanna be found right now..." I told her, which she now started to give a confused and worried look.
".....Audrey, is there something going on? Please let me know now." She walked closer towards me with a serious expression.

I looked at her and pressed my lips together. I most definitely wasn't gonna let her know what's been going on.....1.) She won't believe me because she's been good friends with Taylor's parents for awhile, and 2.) She's also gonna think I'm crazy. Which I think I am now, I'm not sure. Probably heading that way.
"Everything's fine....I-just came out here to look around." I came up with another lie.

She gave me a unsure look that she didn't believe me and I rolled my eyes a little. She was about to say something else when her phone started to ring loudly.

I watched as she pulled her phone out of her purse and read the caller ID. I leaned my head forward and saw that it read Grace. Taylor's mom name. I hope she doesn't snitch and tell them that I'm here. If that does happened, I'm gonna have to run. I don't want to see their presence right now or even hear them speak. My life turned upside down because of them. So homeless or not. Where I go, it won't be back at the house. Fuck everything I left back there. I'm not setting a foot back in that hell of house that I used to call home again.

Actually......I changed my mind. I will go back there. One more time.....And that's to only pack some of my things and grab some money. I'm renting a room for hotel. I'm not planning on going to school. Because if I do, all people are gonna do is look at me a certain way after they find out my secret......which was unfortunately, true..........I got pregnant my sophomore year. Liam was my first and he was also the father......No one really knew about it except Mia and her mom. She helped me get through everything that I needed to get through.......I thought I had gotten away with it......but Mia just proved me wrong....
"Have I seen Audrey?" I heard her repeat the question being asked to her.
