--------"Leah." I felt someone nudge me as I slightly groaned, shaking them off.
"Leah, wake up." The person nudge me again but even more this time. "Hm." I mumbled as I still remained buried under the covers. I didn't want to get up at the moment. I stayed up all night trying to create the plan and how it all was gonna go down and when I say it took forever. It took forever. I mean I had to also create back up plans in case one didn't go through correctly or something got in the way.
"Come on Leah, you gotta get up it's almost noon." I heard Tyler say as I grabbed a pillow from beside me and pressed it down on my head.
"You're such a child." He chuckled as he yanked the covers off of me and I immediately sat up straight, glaring at him to death. He looked at me and his eyes went up to my head and he suddenly burst into laughter. "You like you've been electrocuted." He teased me, looking at my hair as I got up from my bed. I turned to flip him off as I made my way towards the door to pass him. Since he woke me up, I might as well get the day started by hopping in the shower. "I'll go buy us something from Dunkin' Donuts. What do you want?" I heard him ask me from the other side of the door as I turned the shower on and took my shirt off.
"Just get me a Medium French Vanilla Swirl Hot Latte with whole milk." I said, smirking. Knowing he wasn't gonna memorize what I just said. "Yeah, I'll just call you when I get there." He chuckled and walked away from the door. A couple seconds later, I heard the sounds of keys and the front door closing as I stripped the rest of my clothes off, getting inside the shower and letting the hot water relax my muscles.I took no more than a 20-minute shower and came out just in time for Tyler to call me about what I wanted.
"And buy me a strawberry donut with sprinkles too." I added, making him chuckle as he told the cashier. He had ordered himself something else as well and hung up, allowing myself to get dressed. Tomorrow was my last day of vacation from work and I was upset. Working is stressful enough and I have a lot stuff on my mind.Going downstairs and into the kitchen, I looked down at the picture frame that remained broken with its glass shattered everywhere. When I picked it up yesterday, I had already knew it was a picture of us. I was mad at her as well so that's why I threw it.
I grabbed the broom that was by the refrigerator and swept up the glass, throwing it in the trash along with the frame. I picked up the photo and didn't think twice before I shred it into million of pieces to finish it off. Next, I went into the living room and picked up the TV, not even bothering to turn it on to see if it still worked which I know damn well it doesn't. Since there was more glass from the vase, I swept up more and straightened everything back to the way it was.Satisfied with the way the living room looked again, I went upstairs to grabbed my phone when I heard someone coming from the front door. Knowing it was Tyler, I grabbed a pair of ankle socks and put them on my feet, going back down. "Thanks." I looked at him as he gave me my latte and donut. I grabbed my shoes along with my coat and took a sip. "I have to go now and see if I could talk with them while I have the chance. Go back to your house and see if you can find any clues about whoever might've left when they took her, they had to leave a trace or something some where, I know it." I told him as I grabbed my keys and headed for the door. "Alright, call me if you anything, I'll be gathering everything else to, while I'm at it as well. Make sure you're here before evening so I can call my guys over here and let me know if her friends agree." He said as I turned to him. I nodded and closed the door, heading towards my car. I checked the time on my phone and remembered that they had lunch around 1 so I had to get there on time.
When I got there, I had to get a visitors pass and come up with an excuse to why I was there since I no longer work there anymore. Several students stopped me on the way to cafeteria, trying to stick their nose all up in my business asking why I decided to quit. Of course I didn't tell them the actual reason so I told them a convincing lie that I moved and had to find another job nearby.
"Good to see you again, Ms. Tate." One of the staff members I recognized passed me as I entered the cafeteria, filled with tons of teenagers roaming with food in their hands. "Good to see you too, Mr. Weston." I smiled at him as I made my way over to their table. They didn't seem to notice me until I sat down next to the one named Nick.
"Ms. Tate? W-What are you doing here?" He asked me as him and Connor, along with another girl looked at me in confusion. "I need your help with something, and I can't talk about it here so meet me in the parking lot after school if you have no where else to be." I told them as I glanced around the cafeteria to see if anyone was looking at me.They both exchanged looks while the girl sat there and didn't say anything. I wonder where Mia was. "It has to do with why you haven't seen Audrey......" I said and they all stopped eating and stared at me. "What about her? What happened to her, is she okay?" Connor went on with questions and I sighed and got up. "I'll answer you guys' questions later, right now I need to go call someone. I'll be hanging around here for the rest of the day so you might see me in the halls."
They both nodded without any more questions until I turned around. "Is Mia involved too? Because she hasn't been in school either." I heard Nick say, making me stop dead in my tracks.
I squinted my eyes and turned back to him and came back. "What do you mean Mia hasn't been in school either? When was the last time you saw both of them at school together?"
I looked at Connor and he hesitated at first before he opened his mouth to say something when I heard a voice call my name. "Ms. Tate?" Mr. Price called out to me. I mentally rolled my eyes a billion times in my head and finally turned around, giving him a small smile as he walked up to me. "Hello, Mr. Price. It's been awhile." I spoke to him as we both walked out of the cafeteria.
I turned my head towards them and mouthed them to still meet me in the parking lot so that we could continue this conversation......because I may or may not have just found out who kidnapped Audrey.
And that next person on my suspect list is Mia.
