—————————I woke up to a buzzing sound coming from my phone. I rubbed my eyes, looking at the screen.
The screen read ' Bestfriend ' and I sighed accepting the call..
"Hello?" I answered in a raspy voice, yawning shortly after."Wake up. I'm your alarm clock today." She said, probably smirking that she woke me up in complete success.
I groaned.
"Yes mother." I sarcastically said, rolling my eyes.I sat up straight on my bed, stretching my muscles out. I'm surprised I went to bed early last night. I usually can't sleep during the nights, I don't even know why...
"They wanted me in for work early so I decided to take it and get it out of the way.." She said as I took my phone into the bathroom.
"Are they paying you extra?" I asked, brushing my teeth in the mirror.
"Yeah, that's why I accepted it. I wasn't really busy today anyways."I spat the toothpaste out of my mouth, rinsing my mouth out and turning the shower on.
"I brung you some donuts from Dunkin' Donuts, they're in the fridge.." She told me as I grabbed a towel from the closet in the hallway.
"Aww, you're so sweet, thanks.." I smiled as walked back inside the bathroom.
"I know I am.." She laughed.I shook my head.
"Alright I'm about to get in the shower and get dressed for work, thanks for waking me up and for the donuts.." I say while plugging my phone on the charger in my room.
"No problem, I'll talk to you later on your lunch break okay?"
"Alright talk to you later, bye.."
"Bye.." She last said before I hung up, taking my clothes off and getting in the shower.—————————
I entered the school building, signing into the main office and headed straight off to my classroom.
I've thought a lot about what Lauren said to me last night and I understand everything she told me, it's just that I can't. I can't, seriously. Number one for sure, I don't know what her reaction is gonna be once she finds out. Who knows, and that's what I'm afraid of. I'm afraid she won't believe me and that she'll think I'm some kind of sick teacher who needs serious help.
I sighed and shook my head, unlocking the door and turning on the lights. I closed the door behind me as I walked towards my desk, sitting my belongings down in my chair.
I checked the time on my phone and it read 7:49. Meaning that in just a few minutes, the hallways are going to be filled with loud and obnoxious teenagers.
I sat in my chair at last and lowered my head folding my arms on the desk, closing my eyes.
All of this thinking is giving me a headache more than these students that come in here almost everyday. God, give me a break.
Suddenly there were four loud knocks on my door and I immediately jumped up.
"Come in." I cleared my throat, and the door opened. It was Mr. Price. He came in here for about 5 minutes to ask me a few questions about how are things going around here. I told him everything was going fine for my second week here and that I'm still learning new things about this school and stuff like that.
"Is Audrey causing you any more problems since last time?" He asked me as I glanced at the clock.
"Nope. Actually she has calmed down ever since then. She's more engaged into her schoolwork, more focused and on task..." I lied for some reason.
"Well that is good to hear Ms. Tate. I am glad that you have everything under control.." He said while walking back towards the door.
