After I made my way down to the bus stop, multiple people that were already there kept asking me if I was okay because of my crutches, of course. I had to come up with a quick and convincing lie so they wouldn't continue with their interrogations. I mean I do very much appreciate their concern, but I'm already knowing that if I break down from all of this pressure and weigh that's on my shoulders, I'll end up putting us all in even more deep trouble than we already are.

"Good morning, Oakwood Academy, may I have your attention please!" The intercom suddenly blasted through the hallways by Mr. Price's loud and unnecessary voice. Everyone that took interest into what Mr. Price was about to announce immediately stopped talking and looked at the ceilings where the speakers were installed at.

Thankfully on cue, Hailey and I stopped at my locker to also listen in on what he has to say.

My heart skipped a beat as everyone started looking around, impatiently waiting for whatever Mr. Price had to say. I tried to not think about the Ava situation and prayed to God that he wasn't about to inform everybody in this building that Ava was dead and will no longer be attending this school anymore. My ears were also pounding but to remain calm on the outside, I ignored the feelings and struggled to put in my locker combination for it to open.
"As we all know that there's less then 2 months left of school days, before summer vacation finally arrives." He started off, making everyone in the hallway, including the teachers cheer in excitement of the idea of not being in this hell hole for 3 months.

"Towards the final weeks of school, individually you will be asked to clean out your lockers. To be safe and organized, we're going by grades so to begin this, next month the seniors will go first then next will be the juniors, sophomores and then the freshmans. Anything not thrown away or brought home, will be automatically be tossed into the garbage. Reminders will go out today so you can be notified when the time comes.."

"Moving on," He cleared his throat, making me stuff my backpack and inside the locker while Hailey held my binders.

"Prom is in a couple of weeks so tickets are still available for you to buy. A ticket is $30 per person. To purchase them please visit the bookstore with your correct ID so that they can know who you are when you give them the money to purchase the ticket. If you choose not to go and you've already paid for a ticket before the day comes, you cannot lend someone your ticket, they would have to purchase on their own, but....if you decide not to go, which by the way I don't know why because this years prom is going to epic, you can stop by at the bookstore and return the ticket and get your money back but that offer is only available for this month only so make your way down and get your ticket before they sell out....Also, seniors. There will be an important assembly this afternoon before this day is dismissed, I'll email your last hour teacher to inform them when to bring you guys down when the time comes, anyways that's all for now. I hope everyone has a wonderful day today. You may now resume to your home rooms now."

The intercom clicked off and everyone began talking again, I let out a big relief. He didn't mention anything about Ava, which is a good sign and also a bad sign.....if no one has found her yet. I'm sure her parents will be up here anytime soon bursting into immediate concern about their now missing daughter, who is unfortunately dead by the way...

I shook my head and looked at Hailey as Connor came behind her and hugged her.
I immediately rose my eyebrows forgetting all about why I lost in my thoughts in the first place.
"Did I miss something?" I smirked as them as Nick suddenly appeared into view to stand beside me.
"Yeah, last night I let him invite her over to watch the basketball game with us and I guess that brought them together......I never knew that what happened." He pointed as Connor pressed his forehead against hers.

I suddenly glanced down, thinking of Liam and quickly shook my head.
"Alright, enough of the lovey touchy wuvy let's go." Nick teased them in a baby like voice as he grabbed Connor so they could go to their homeroom.

Hailey looked at me and I suddenly shook my head and high fived her quickly so I could return back to my crutches before I took a flight to the floor embarrassing myself as usual.
"So I figure you have a prom date already." I chuckled as we began walking down the hall like everyone else.

"Yeah, I knew it was coming. I just didn't get too geeked about it or else it wouldn't have happened." She shrugged as we made it to my homeroom door. She went inside and sat my stuff down before she came back out..
"Look, I know you don't have a date but.....you're still going to prom right?" She questioned as I looked at the clock. Thirty seconds to go..
"I don't know......I might not go. Too many bad things can go entirely wrong if I'm surrounded by crowds of people and to avoid that I shall stay home and binge watch some TV shows with my sister and niece." I shrugged.

I watched as her shoulders sunk in slight disappointment..
"Audrey, you have to go.........this is a one time event and you can't reverse time after it happens.....I know how you feel about not putting a lot of people in danger but you only get one prom to go to during high school now that you're a senior, once it's over, it's done. You'll regret later on in the future if you don't go so..........consider thinking about it? Please?" She stuck out her bottom lip and gave me the puppy eyes.

I suddenly scoffed loudly not caring who heard me and dramatically rolled my eyes.
"Fine, I'll think about it." I mumbled, making her eyes lit up as the bell rung.

"Okay, great. Let me know on your final decision before next week so we can go dress shopping, gotta run." She quickly said as she ran down the hall and up the stairs in a hurry.
I laughed and shook my head as I went inside the classroom and took my seat.
