46: "you make me happy"

i had a girlfriend.
and it was heaven.

we'd only been going out for a month. but it was. we went on dates, hung at each others places, called and texted non stop - i loved it. justin was our hype man. it worried me sometimes that he could be heartbroken. but he claimed he wasn't. as for brendon, he was happy for me to. him and sarah were still going strong.

today me and sierra were sitting in my room watching netflix. i was leaning on her shoulder, snuggling up to her. we were eating pop corn, engrossed into the programme. brendon knocked on the door, even though it was wide open.
"im heading out to meet sarah. you two sure you'll be okay?" he asked.
"yeah" i replied.
"okay. bye" he gave us a warm smile and headed out.
"have fun!"

the show ended soon enough.
"you wanna watch something else?" she asked.
"nah" i got up and put a cd in my CD player. she grinned and got up, slipping her hands into mine and pulled me closee to her.
"this is weird" i giggled. she did too.
suddenly she shut me up with her lips. i kissed back, intoxicated by the taste of her lips. i pulled away in shock.
"how was that for a first kiss?" she asked. i pulled her in to another one, wanting to savour the moment.

"am i your first girlfriend?" she asked.
i nodded. "i didn't come out too long ago" i replied.
"well im honoured"
we were now sitting at the kitchen table eating snacks.
"what about you?" i pondered. "you're my second. first one just wanted sex" she sighed. "ew"
she laughed. "she was a bitch" she shrugged.
i leaned on her shoulder and closed my eyes and she put her arm round me and let me relax. "you good?" she asked.
"i don't know" i replied.
"well that makes me sad" she said.
"i hate that i cant talk" i replied.
"don't let that bother you. you've been through a lot. take care of yourself, go easy. okay?" she said. i nodded and she gently kissed my lips. "you'll make it through"
