67: "i like you, not her"

"NOTHING YOU CAN SAY CAN STOP ME GOING HOME!" me and brendon yelled.
"my throat hurts" i said.
"you don't yell a lot" he pointed out.
"true" i replied as i finished making my sandwich. we sat down and started eating. "have you talked to her?"
"who?" i asked.
"jessica" he replied.
"no..." i trailed off guiltily.
"what? why not?" he asked.
"its weird what happened. and im a little scared" i admitted.
"she knows you didn't do anything wrong...c'mon dyl its not fair on her" he replied.
"this whole things stressing me out"

we finished our food and i offered to clean up while brendon played piano. his beautiful voice filled the house as i put the plates in the dishwasher. then the doorbell rang so i washed my hands and ran to get it, brendon still playing.
i opened the door to see jessics, holding a bouquet of lilies.
"im sorry about what happened. i-i know it was a lot. and if you don't want to date me anymore then...its okay"
"no! i like you, not her" i said. "you don't owe me anything. okay? im sorry for not calling"
she gave me the flowers. "i didn't know your favourite" she sniffled.
"this is so sweet. i love them" i smiled and connected our lips together.

we pulled away as brendon screamed. we ran to the main room.
"brendon what happened?" i asked.
"oh nothing. i knew you guys were kissing thats all" he said.
i scoffed playfully and turned to jessica. "well...i should put these in water"
