CHAPTER 15: "From faraway past"

Third Person's P.O.V 

The World of Magic is where the fascinating wide land of Sanctuaria can be found. The said land is protected by the four beautiful and powerful Goddesses named Gardellia, Fanthasha, Magicca and Darkreighn. It was entrusted to them by the two High Gods named Archaius and Zaturnin.

In the center of Sanctuaria lies the sacred place where the Gods and Goddesses rests or meets. It's also the place where the Sacred Book of Magic has been kept for years already. The humans or the mortals believed that it is a sacred book that helps to maintain the balance in their world.

Only the Deities are allowed to take care of the place but none of the four Goddesses had even tried to use it because it is strictly forbidden according to their rules.

That sacred book is owned by the God Archaius and he then said that it is the most powerful thing in the world that is why he is taking good care of it and protecting it against anyone who'll try to steal it. But the other God, Zaturnin, became jealous and interested with the book. An evil plan then crossed his mind.

It was one fine day, without the knowledge of the other Deities, Zaturnin secretly went to that sacred place and tried to steal the magical book. But surprisingly, he failed to carry it because Archaius used a powerful magic that would keep the book on it's place.

It triggered the raging anger of Zaturnin, more and more. He's becoming frustrated and desperate, then, he thought of finding a way to get what he wants. An evil grin curved into his lips as he plotted something darker on his mind and he knew that Archaius would despise him.

What he did was he forcefully opened the sacred book and released the hidden powerful elements and magic that's rooting within the object itself. It's the biggest mistake that he made and is not supposed to happen according to Archaius.

Darkreighn, one of the Goddesses, had caught him doing so. But she was brainwashed by the words of Zaturnin and encouraged her to help with his plans. Darkreighn at first was hesitating to accept his offer, she doesn't want Archaius to punish her. But because she also wanted that kind of power to rule the world, she then accepted Zaturnin's encouraging yet dangerous words.

But then again, they still can't fully have the book even though they used all there might just to steal it. Zaturnin doesn't want to lose against Archaius. So, he decided to make a very powerful curse and let it be absorbed by the book.

The curse was if whoever holds the book, wether a mortal or a Deity, with an evil heart, mind and soul, he or she will use that thing to bring chaos into the world.

After that incident, Zaturnin was nowhere to be found. Archaius found out of what the two Deities did and he became furious. He then decided to keep the book with him and hide it. He forgives the Goddess Darkreighn because she asked for it and she is the one who told Archaius about what happened. She was trying to protect herself.

Because of what Zaturnin did, he released the powerful elemental symbols and the magical abilities that only the Deities were supposed to have. It was spread to every humans alive in the world and randomly divided into them. Having those powers and superhuman abilities made people think that they are that powerful from then and so on.

Archaius came into a big decision, for humanities sake. He decided to split the Sanctuaria Land in four big and wide islands that were named after the four Goddesses, Darkreighn, Gardellia, Fanthasha and Magicca.

He also assigned each of the Goddesses to rule and protect every island and they are given a serious task of helping humans to use their new abilities wisely and be guided by it.
