Ally's POV

My eyes open to a brand new day of school. My only motivation was to begin reading our scripts today in class. I couldn't really focus much this weekend because of the accident, but I'm sure I can remember some of the lines from Scene 1 and Scene 2. I read some of it last night when Camila handed me the booklet.

I hope she gets better. When I got home from the woods, I found out that Camila got the yardstick, and she got a couple hits for letting me drive by myself in bad weather. It wasn't her fault though. It was mine. I volunteer, but Simon said that she should have known better. And I think Camila is reliving the scenes from that traumatic night of her childhood. How the car went off the road and roll down the hill. Camila and Sofia were pushed out because Camila was scrolling the window down. Camila cut her head while Sofia scraped her arm on the glass when they flew out. Their parents were in the car with no escape. Their mom passed away immediately while their dad had a chance of survival, but the ambulance got there too late.

I sat up on my bed and heard a ring from my phone. I unplug the charger and turn on my screen. It was a message from Liam. We exchanged numbers the other day. I read his message:

Look out your window.

I crease my brow and uncover the sheets. I walk up to the window and see him standing in his room, looking at me. In his hands hold a piece of paper with unreadable print, but I manage to distinguish each letter: Good morning, sunshine.

I pull out a piece of line paper and a thick sharpie. I scribble the words: What are you doing?. And hold it out from him to read.

He grabs another piece of paper and writes down another statement. He holds it in front of the window and smiles. I read each letter carefully before I can put them together: I wish you a good day.

I immediately blush and shake my head. I flip the paper and scribble "I wish you the same too." I hold it once more against the window, and he nods his head before turning around, looking at something or someone. He gives me a thumbs up and closes his window.

I walk into the bathroom and got ready for school. I decide to put my hair in a messy bun and grab a jacket in my closet. Before I could close the closet door, my eyes catches a bag. The bag was filled with Liam's jacket from that night. I smile a little. I will give it to him when I have a chance.

I put on my jacket and backpack and walk out of the room. I trot down the stairs and enter the kitchen. I was greeted by Lauren and Camila as I set my backpack down by my seat and grab a bowl. I pour myself a bowl of foot loops and milk. I sit down in my chair and grab a spoonful.

"So," Lauren begins to say. I look at her, covering my mouth as I chew. "What happened that day? And how did you meet up with Liam?"

I close my mouth, raising my index finger for a moment. I swallow the cereal and release a breath. "It was really rainy, and Liam came to help."

"How come you guys were in the woods?" Lauren asks.

"We had to find shelter," I answer.

"You guys couldn't hop along in his car?" Lauren questions. I stare at her, not sure of how to respond. I didn't exactly want to tell her that there was two men trying to harm me. That would lead to more problems. Lauren wasn't the best at keeping secrets either. "Ha," she snickers, "so you two were getting down and dirty in the woods."

"Lauren!" Camila and I said in unison. We exchange looks, and I eye for her to go first.

Camila speaks, "Lauren, Ally is not that kind of girl. You should know by now."

"That was clearly a joke," Lauren said, smiling. "I know Ally wouldn't do anything. She's too innocent."

Camila rolls her eyes. "Ally, Lauren is just being herself. Unsympathetic like always." Lauren sticks her tongue at Camila, causing Camila roll her eyes once more. She turns to Lauren and lectures, "Lauren, you should be asking about her well-being. She just got into an accident."
