Filming ended a couple days ago, and a closing party was held today. I put on my hoop earrings and straighten out my black dress with noodle straps. I let my hair down and check the time on my phone a couple of times. The party begins at six, and it's getting close to that time. I sit down on my bed and watch Lauren and Dinah.
Lauren tightens her maroon dress and ties the laces behind. Dinah slips into her shoes and practices walking on them.
"Guys, it's been two months that we've stayed here, and honestly, I am not going to miss this hotel, but rather the delicious food the comes from it," Lauren states.
I observe the room. "I like the small room. It's cozy and small enough for me."
"Guys," Dinah begins, grabbing our attention. "This is going to be our second party with actual movie actors and actresses. I'm so stoked yet so bummed because this might be my last party."
"Aw," Lauren teases. "At least Harry is showing up, right?"
Dinah pouts and shakes her head. "No, he has to work tonight. If he did, he would've been my escort," she explains, sounding salty.
"Wow. And I thought you asked me because you were being sisterly and not trying to leave me third wheeling, or what would've been fifth wheeling. What's wrong with me?" Lauren points out and pouts.
Dinah and I chuckle. Dinah answers, "Nothing, Lolo. I just would like to be with my boyfriend during special events. He hardly gets off at work,
especially since he has two jobs." I grit my teeth."Where does he work?" Lauren asks.
Dinah shrugs. "I haven't gotten the chance to ask him, but I know it's someplace where he receives a lot of money. Not that I'm being greedy but he has the money to build a mansion."
Lauren widens her eyes. "Well, am I the only one planning to get drunk tonight? Maybe not drunk, but sober."
Dinah raises her hand. "I am, especially because I don't have Harryboo with me."
I chuckle at her nickname. Lauren and Dinah dart their eyes on me immediately, and I definitely felt intimidated by them. I raise my hands in self-defense, wondering why they were looking at me enviously. "What?" I question.
"We find it quite unfair that you don't seem to have any problems with your man," Dinah says. "All I've seen is you two hanging out, being all lovey-dovey."
"You guys are not jealous, right? Why would you guys be jealous?" They gave me a stern look. "Liam and I just do what we do. I don't know why you guys are jealous. There's nothing to be jealous about."
"Yeah, sure," Lauren says, crossing her arms.
I scoff. "I'm serious. I don't even know what will happen between us after the party. I might meet his parents, but what happens after that?" I thought.
"Liam loves you," Dinah says. "You shouldn't have anything to worry about."
"But I do," I crease my brows, looking at Dinah and then at Lauren. A pit appears in my stomach, and I breathe through my nose slowly. My legs and arms went numb just thinking about the next couple of days.
"Ally," Lauren says, walking up to me. Dinah follows her footsteps, and they take a seat beside me. Lauren furrows her brows the way she does when she reads someone. Her eyes soften in a couple of seconds, and she places her hand on my bare shoulder. "Why are you scared?" She asks.
"Wait," Dinah says. I turn to her, and she continues, "Is this about him abandoning you? Or are you scared you'll be alone again?" My eyes lower, and my lips quiver. My silence gives them an answer that it was both.
