Forgot to mention that there is three parts to this chapter.
Jade's head peeks inside the room, and she gives me a friendly smile. She swings the door open for the other girls: Jesy, Leigh-Anne, and Perrie. They all gave me friendly smiles that warm my heart.
"Hi, guys," I greet.
Jade speaks up for the rest of them, "Hi, Ally. We heard what happened," Jade says, approaching me. She and the girls take a seat on the bed. "We're so sorry."
My smile brightens up a little. "It's not your fault."
Jade frowns, hesitantly. Leigh-Anne replies, "We know. It's his. What a jerk. You deserve better, Ally."
"That boy doesn't know what he'd missed out on," Perrier adds. "Picking another girl over you, I hope he regrets it with his life."
"Don't say that," I said. "He deserves to be happy with her. It's not entirely his fault. It was fate. We were meant to diverge from the beginning anyways."
"Now don't say that," Jade says. "You two were everlasting. He loved you, and you loved him. I don't believe it was a charade. Liam is not that good of an actor."
I shake my head. "Believe whatever you want, but I don't really want to hear his name." I bat my eyes and change the subject. "So, why are you guys here?"
"We came to check on you. What else?" Jesy questions. I shrug.
"Before Jade and the others speak," Perrie begins, "I just want to say that I am happy I have encountered people like you in my life. I've been through many ups and downs, and it's nice seeing a kind and humble person once in awhile, but you, Ally...you remain to shed light in all situations when you're close to me. You're forgiving. It's your nature, so the girls and I shouldn't stop you from doing that to you-know-who."
I grin and swallow the fluid in my mouth. I shift my eyes on Leigh-Anne, who begins to speak, "Ally, I'm sorry for all of the trouble I have caused you. I know it was wrong to pick you when I really didn't know you well enough to make an accurate judgement of your character. But now, I agree with Perrie. You are humble and sweet. Keep being you until your light burns out."
Perrie and Leigh-Anne exchange looks, and Perrie raises her voice after a silence, "We will give you guys time to talk."
Jesy and Jade nod their heads, and Perrie and Leigh-Anne leave the room. Jade points to Jesy, her hands trembling, "You first."
Jesy sighs and scoots closer to me on the bed. "Ally," she brushes my hair with her fingers, "I know you will forgive me, but I'm asking you to not. Because I don't deserve your forgiveness. You and Jade helped me recover from my mentality, and I really want to thank you. After I ran you over, I was scarred, thinking to myself that I had taken your life. But I didn't. However, seeing you here, relaxed, at-ease, and motionless, I couldn't help but feel like I took part of this. I am not the smartest. I am not the prettiest. I am not the best—"
I shake my head, cutting in, "Don't say that. You are smart and beautiful. Anyone would be lucky to have you in their life."
Jesy smiles and nods her head, continuing, "See, this is what I mean. I've spent two years torturing you yet you are here, giving me compliments. The world needs you still." She quietly sobs, "I promise that your kindness won't go to waste. Jade and I will help the Anti-Bullying Club at Sofia's school to spread the kindness you gave us."
"And we will try not to disappoint," Jade adds. My heart warms up, feeling like I had made an impact in someone else's life other than my own. I open my arms and pull the two into an embrace. I squeeze them as hard as I could before my energy began to drain.
I pull apart, and Jade connects her eyes with Jesy's. "Jesy, can you give Ally and me a moment? I'll be down there in a little bit."
Jesy nods her head. "Of course. I'll see you later," she waves farewell as she gets off the bed.
When she closes the door shut behind her, Jade shifts her eyes on me. Immediately, she bawls her eyes out, and I didn't know what to do. Tears stream down faster and faster, and she mumbles something along the sobs. I grab her hands and squeeze them with my energy, asking, "What's wrong, Jade? Tell me."
She inhales a deep breath and wipes her drenched cheeks. "I am upset that you are leaving me," Jade said. "I'm upset that life made me hate you for the majority of our relationship. If only I could reverse time, you wouldn't be here right now."
"What are you saying? I would still be here if you and I were friends within those two years," I know it was a long shot, but I hoped my words assured her that it was not her fault.
Jade shakes her head, not believing it. "No. I tore you and Liam apart. What I said that day about Liam and you not being everlasting, I was just trying to hurt you. I never thought it would be true. I wished I didn't say that. From what I've seen, he loved you and only you."
I sigh. "Jade, enough about him. You did nothing wrong. A little bullying never hurt me."
Jade's eyes widen. "Exactly," Jade says. "It's my fault."
"No, it's not," I argue. "Even if you didn't do all of those things, you could have never stopped my pain nor my stress. So don't tell yourself that you are the reason because you're not."
Jade whimpers and nods her head along. "I'm so sorry," she says as she leans herself forward and rests her head on my shoulder. I bring my arms around hers and breathe smoothly. I gently rub circles on her back to ease her worries.
We stayed like this until Jesy peeks her head in. "Excuse me," she says. Jade and I break our embrace and turn to her. Jesy continues, "There's two people here for you."
Jade shifts her attention to me. "I guess this is my time to exit," Jade says. She brushes a lock of hair out of my face and smiles, "I wish you no harm, Ally." I nod my head with a faint smile. Jade gets up and leaves the room with Jesy.
Soon enough, two people enter the room, and my heart race seeing him here. I put on a smile and greet them, "Hi, Selena," I begin with her, "Hi, Ricky."
