My head bounced forward from an angle, waking me up. I lift my head and open my eyes to the darkness of the vehicle and outside. I turn to Sonia as she turns off the engine.

"We're here," she says. Her eyes gesture something through the window.

I dart my eyes to that direction and see the lake house a couple feet away. A smile forms on my lips as joy replaces my sadness at the moment. I unbuckle my seatbelt and got out of the car. Sonia opens the back trunk, and we begin to pull out all of my suitcases. I carry two while she carry the last one. We bring them up to the porch and into the house. Inside, the scent brings back memories from not too long ago.

"Ally," Sonia said behind me. I turn around and see her standing on the doorway with her hand wrapped around the handle of the suitcase. "I think it's better if we unload tomorrow. It's almost eleven."

I nod my head. "Yeah," I said. "You can decide the room you want. There are three upstairs and two downstairs."

"Thank you," she smiles. She removes her hand from the suitcase to shut the door behind us.

While her hand reaches for the suitcase, I interrupted her, saying, "I got it." She raises her eyes on me and creases her brows. "I can bring my suitcase. You can rest for the night."

"That's sweet of you, but I'm more than happy to carry it for you," she says.

I give her a warm smile and allow her to carry it. I hold onto my other two suitcases and walk up the stairs. Sonia follows me, and I head into the room where Liam and I slept. The sheets were washed and fixed on the bed. I set my suitcases by the nightstand and observe the room. Everything was clean and bland. I ran my fingers on the sheets, and my smile widens. However, I couldn't help but feel a void in my stomach.

"Where would you like me to put this?" Sonia asks.

I turn and meet eyes with her. She stood by the doorway, holding onto the handle of the suitcase with both of her hands. "By the nightstand, where the others are," I answer.

She walks over the nightstand and sets it next to the others. My mind circled back to our final night. The way he kissed my hand after everything. The way his eyes never broke away from mine. It was epic.

"You miss him, don't you?" Sonia asks. I flinch a little, not realizing that she stood beside me with her arms cross.

"Hmm?" I ask.

She chuckles and repeats, "I asked if you miss him."

"I do," I respond and nod my head a couple of times. "Is it weird that I do? I just saw him ten hours ago, and he's coming back in a couple days, but is it weird? Because I feel like I am going crazy without him already."

"That's the effect of being in love with someone," Sonia answers, causing me to blush. "You can't shake them out of your mind, and you feel yourself going crazy, but you're not. It just means your missing him. I remember when I was in college, I met the man of my dreams. He was gorgeous. Hot. And a killer with the moves. I set my eyes on him the first time he came through the classroom door."

I sit down on the bed and comment, "Ooh. He must have been that good to have caught your eye."

She nods her head. "He was sensational. We shared a lot of things in common. We love reading. English. Cooking. We both were going to be accountants. Everything was perfectly align." Her face fell afterwards, and I knew that there was going to be a plot twist. "However, I read all the wrong signs. He was more interested in my sister, and so, after I found that out, I had a small breakdown. I focus more on school and less on relationships. I did try going on dates, but none of the guys I went out with were my type. That why I live a life of solitude. I just wasn't one of those people to have that."
