I relax my hand on the brush and stroke the white paint against the wall. My eyes reflected the light colors on the wall. My head spun around, only thinking about yesterday. Seeing him there was like a dream. Only for a few seconds before he left.

Maybe I shouldn't go. It's better if I don't. It will help me get over him faster, and he can possibly stop. I wasn't ready for a relationship, especially since I ended things with him. If I came back to him, I would be weak like that girl in the past. I don't want to be that girl anymore.

Maybe I should go then. I have some questions I want answers to. And then after, whatever happens happens. I will have to keep my guard on him and remind myself to stay focus on why I'm there.

I set the paintbrush down on the paper laid out on the floor and begin cleaning the area up. Once I was done, I head upstairs and change into my normal clothes. I trot down the stairs and made sure everything was picked up.

I exit the house and lock it. I walk down the porch and get inside the car, behind the wheel. I inject the key and turn on the engine. I shift the gear into reverse and back out. I soon drive through the dirt road and enter the street. I turn on the radio and sing along to the radio, letting the songs sink into my mind at the moment. I should probably be thinking about what I should say to him, but I didn't want to think about that at the moment. It gave me too much stress already.

I straighten my position and steady my hands on the steering wheel as I turn the steering wheel and pull up in a lane in the park. I unbuckle my seatbelt and exit the car. I adjust my purse on my shoulder and look at the lawn. Right across from the park and by the water fountain, I see Liam, his back faced me.

I walk through the lawn and stood behind him. Instantly, he turns around, and a smile appears on his lips. "Hi," he greets. Before I can reply, he wraps his arms around me and pulls me close. I jump a little at the quick action. His hands trace up my back, and my entire nerves vibrated. His touch warmed me up, and I bring my hands up against his back. I hug him tightly and bury my head in his shoulder. His scent eased me a little, but I felt my heart slowing. I release my arms and press them against my chest, pushing him off of me.

"Liam..." I mumble.

Our eyes meet, and his eyebrows crease. "You look different," he says.

"So do you," I respond. "You look good."

He rubs the back of his neck and gives me a shy smile. "Thank you. Your skin is lighter and more soft than usual."

"I've just been doing some rehab," I said. His brows crease deeper, curious. "But I will be fine. Don't worry," I quickly.

He nods his head and smiles. "Well, I'm glad that you came. I want to tell you what happened before you left and after."

"Then tell me," I said.

He shakes his head. "Not here," he says. "Somewhere private. Do you trust me?" I made no reaction, uncertain of the answer myself. He continues anyway, "I want to take you somewhere."

"Where exactly?" I ask.

"Memory lane," he answers, holding out his hand.

I look at it, and part of me hesitated, but I ultimately take his hand, and he leads me to his car. I get inside and buckled up. He turns on the engine and backs out of the lane. The ride was full with small talk and some awkward silence.

After thirty minutes, he pulls into a familiar park surrounded by trees. I look out the window and read the sign RJ Woods. I crease my brows and turn to face him. "Where are we?"

"You don't remember?" He asks. "Maybe if we take a walk, you will recall it."

We unbuckle our seatbelt and shut the doors. My eyes look through the trees and saw a trail beginning. The sight I was seeing must be deja vu. I felt like I've seen this image before. I follow Liam and saw him walking towards the trail. "Liam?" I question.
