I push my hair back into a ponytail. I glance at the time on my phone. Three more minutes. I quickly admire myself in the bathroom mirror. I wore a black dress with black leather boots.

After a few more looks, I exit my room, grabbing my purse along the way, and trot down the stairs. I meet Niall in the kitchen, sitting down and waiting for me.

Oh, boy. He looks really fine. He wore a blue button up shirt with dress pants.

"Sorry if you had to wait on me," I said.

He shakes his head. "No, it's okay," he says. "You look beautiful."

I blush slightly. "Thank you. You're very handsome this afternoon too."

He chuckles lightly before letting his elbow out. I loop my arm around his elbow, and we exit the house.

I buckle my seatbelt after I got in the car. I feel my eyes slowly dropping. I yawn.

"Did you get any sleep?" Niall asks, smiling.

I return the smile and explain, "I've been working all day, so I'm just a little bit out of it. I finally finish the list."

"I'm sorry I couldn't help you," he says. "I had this whole problem with the reservation."

Reservation?

Niall could be spending a lot on this dinner, and it might not be worth it.

What am I saying? I should give Niall a chance. He deserves it.

"Where are we eating?" I ask as he drives into the main road.

"Some place quiet and private," he answers. "There are some things I want to talk to you about."

I'm pretty sure he wanted to confess to me about his feelings, but somehow, I feel like there is more.

Less than twenty minutes, we arrive in front of a tall building. My eyes could barely see the top. Niall and I walk side to side and enter the building.

Inside, there was a couple of furniture in place, and some people were walking and passing by. It felt almost like a hotel.

"May I help you?" the waiter asks, standing behind the counter.

"I made a reservation," Niall answers. "Horan."

The waiter skims through the list and smiles once he finds it. "Ah, yes. Please follow William." A waiter comes out of the door behind the counter.

He gestures his hand at us, and we follow him through a long hallway until he randomly picks and unlocks it. Niall and I enter the room, and to my amazement, there was a table set for two. An unopened dish lie in the middle. There was a plate on each side.

"Thank you," Niall says.

The waiter nods his head and leaves the room for us. I walk over to my seat. Niall helps push my chair in as I take a seat. He quickly runs over to the other side and sits down.

"This is really nice," I said, looking around the room and seeing nothing but winter lights hung around the room. "This must have cost a lot."
