I tie my hair back into a ponytail. I wore a strapless white dress with a cardigan over it.
Today is going to be Liam and my first "date" since he left, and I couldn't wait for it - although my stomach has been fluttering with butterflies. It's been a week since I visited Dr. Spears. Therefore, I just want to spend every second I can with Liam. Dr. Spears says if I go at this rate, I have months, and between those months, they can find a cure.
I just hope today is going to go well. I mean, whatever happens happens. I keep my hopes that nothing bad will happen today.
"Alright," Selena says. I turn to her sitting on the couch. "You look beautiful."
"Thank you," I reply, standing outside my room.
"So where is he taking you?" she asks.
"Actually, we're going to two places, and we're both picking a place. I am deciding to go to the mall to explore and eat, and then we're going somewhere of his choice, and then I can possibly show him the lake house," I explain.
"Okay, well, I hope you have a great time," she says.
Suddenly, I hear someone knocking on the door. I walk to it, feeling the butterflies in my stomach growing. After I open the door, I see Liam in a blue button down shirt with jeans. "Hey," he greets.
I smile. "Hi, come on in," I said. I step aside, and he takes a step inside the apartment. "I hope the directions I gave you weren't hard," I said.
"No, they weren't," he says. "It was very accurate." He observes the apartment until his eyes see Selena sitting on the couch. "Hi, ma'am," Liam greets her, holding out his hand.
Selena's brows crease, looking at his hand. "Liam, don't you remember me? I was your theater teacher," she says with a smile. I wouldn't blame him to if he doesn't recall her. Living with your former teacher was a bizarre concept and that I got used to it and hopefully so will he.
"Sorry," he says. There was a silence for a second before he shifts his eyes on me. Then I see Selena's brows furrowed in confusion. "Ready to go?" He asks.
I nod my head. "Yes, I am ready," I answer. I grab my purse from the counter and hang it on my shoulder. I hold onto his arm.
"Be home by midnight," Selena says. "I expect you to. You hear me?"
I nod my head. "Yes," I said. "Don't worry."
"And you have taken your meds, right?" Selena asks.
I nod my head once more. "Yes, I did."
She gives me a reassuring look, and Liam and I exit the apartment and, soon, the building. We walk into the parking lot and get inside the vehicle. I buckled up.
"Ally, can I ask why you're taking meds?" he asks out of the blue.
I put on a small smile and reply, "It's for my minor headaches. It comes every so often, usually during the day or the night, so I have to take one during those times."
He nods his head and begins the car. He backs out of the parking lot and drives into the main street. He allowed me to turn on the radio, and automatically, Dancing with a Stranger plays. I begin singing bits of it, and Liam joins me on some parts.
I stroll down the window and let the breeze hits me in the face. Chills run down my spine as the wind blows my hair back. I hear Liam chuckle and turn my head over my shoulder. "What?" I question him.
"Beauty," he answers. "You look beautiful."
I blush slightly and stroll the window up as we enter the outdoor. Liam parks by the curb, and we get out of the vehicle. Liam and I hop on the sidewalk, and he intertwines our hands.
