I tighten my jacket and see Liam walking on the field. His eyes meets mine, and I wave at him with a smile. He waves back before proceeding to do whatever he was doing. I observe him walking through the field as I climb up the bleachers. I turn and see Normani sitting in the middle, holding a drink up. She calls out, "Niall, you want some juice? It's right here!"
I look out through the field and see Niall waving at her. Or me. I couldn't really tell, so I wave back. I take a seat next to Normani and cross my legs. "Today is windy," I said, tightening my jacket once more and brushing my hair out of my face.
Normani nods her head, smiling. "Yes, it is. Did Niall ask you to be here?"
I crease my brow, wondering why she would ask that. "No," I reply. "Mani, is there something going on I should know about?"
She shakes her head. "No," she bites her lower lip and turns back to the field. She raises the bottle of juice in the air once again. "Niall, juice! You're going to get dehydrated!"
I look out to the field. The guys were scattering around; I think for a break. I search for Niall until my eyes caught Liam's eyes. He high fives one of his teammates. I'm pretty sure it was Zayn, but I couldn't see because his back was facing me. Liam ran his fingers through his hair, panting, as sweat dropped down his forehead. He looked fine.
I shake my head, getting out of the zone. I search once more and see Niall talking to some guy. His friend was pointing towards Normani and me, causing Niall to look himself. Niall marches his way over to us and greets the both of us, "Ally, you showed up?" Niall questions.
I nod my head. "Yeah, you guys are killing it!" I smile, raising a fist in the air. To be honest, I have no idea what was going on.
"We were just walking," Niall points out.
My cheeks grew red as I hear him laugh. "Well, you guys are killing the walk," I enthuse, nudging him on his arm.
He rubs his arm slightly and turns to Normani. "Mani," He said. Normani snaps out of her trance. She looks up at Niall and smiles. "Juice," he says.
Normani creases her brows until she remembers. She bats her eyes shyly and hands him the bottle. Niall opens it up and takes a sip.
"So, who's all on the team?" I ask.
"Jimmy, James, Tigus, Shawn, Austin, Zayn, Louis, Liam, and some others I don't recall," he answers.
"Wow," I comment.
Normani clears her throat and speaks up, "Niall, you're so dirty. Let me get some of it off." She pulls out a handkerchief and gently removes the dirt on his face.
I scoot a few inches away from them and see Liam climbing on the bleachers. "Hey," I smile.
"Hey," Liam greets back, wiping some sweat off his forehead.
I widen my eyes a little, feeling guilty. He looked so tired out, the least I could have done was bring him water. "Oh, I didn't bring water or anything. I'm sorry," I said.
He smiles and nods his head. "It's alright. I'm just glad you came," he said. "So I have a supporter, but I think Zayn and Louis might need some of your support. Camila and Lauren didn't show up."
I raise an eyebrow. "They ask Camila and Lauren?" Liam nods his head. "That explains why they didn't want to come."
"Pardon?" Liam questions.
"Camila and Lauren are playing hard to get," I explain. I don't know much about Lauren because we don't interact much, but from what I've heard from Dinah, she likes Louis. But he seems to be the playboy type, so she doesn't want to risk falling for his trap. As for Camila, she just wants to know if Zayn truly likes her.
