Liam's POV

I walk up to the bathroom and make a turn to the men's side. Before I could enter, I hear a distinct chatter that seems to be between Niall and Normani. I follow their voices, and right before the corner to the lady's bathroom, I hear them arguing.

"Niall, I just don't understand why?" Normani cries. "I love you."

Niall sighs. "I know you do, but... I don't. You know that. I only love Ally."

I pace myself, holding back my jealousy.

"But she doesn't love you the way that I do," Normani sniffs. "She doesn't even consider you an option. Why do you still like her?"

Niall clears his throat. "I know you are extremely upset, but I believe that she will recognize me one day from saving her from falling for Liam's trap."

"Really?" Normani chuckles. "Or you're just making that up, so you can make yourself believe that Liam is not good to her. Liam or not, she will never look at you the same way as she does with him."

"They are not even together, so those words mean nothing to me," Niall says.

I hear one of their footsteps approaching, and before I can hide myself, Niall pops his head, and his eyes immediately catch mine. His eyebrows crease before he walks away.

I peek my head over the corner and see Normani crying in her hands. I cannot help but pity her. I walk up to her and place my hand on her shoulder. "Hey," I speak.

Normani uncovers her face and looks at me. She bats her eyes and wipes her tears away. "Liam, what are you doing?"

"I overheard your conversation," I said. "You need a hug?"

Normani smiles before crashing her arms around me. She sobs quietly on my jersey. I rub her back to ease her pain. "Everything will be alright," I tell her.

She nods in my chest and replies, "I hope so."

I tighten my hold her until someone spoke up.

"Oh, what the hell..." Dinah's voice says.

Normani raises her head and stares behind me. I turn around and immediately meet Ally's eyes. My heart races. My hands shake, seeing her reaction to what she had witness. Her eyes were confuse and upset.

"Ally," I begin, but she holds out her hand and lower her head to face the ground. Her silence scares me.

After a moment, she raises her head to Dinah and mumbles something to her before she walks off.

"Ally!" I exclaim.

Dinah shakes her head and glares at me. She walks pass me and takes Normani to the restroom.

I follow Ally, but before I can pass the corner, Niall jumps in front of me with his eyebrows furrowed. "Look at what you did," he says, monotonous.

His expression spoke disapproval, but his eyes express a different thing. Just one look and I knew it was his doing. I push him back, fueling his anger, but it did not rise up to my level of anger.

"Stay away from Ally," Niall speaks. "She's too kind to tell you this, so I'm going to ask you to stay away."

"I don't want no trouble," I tell him.

"Then I suggest you do what I said. Then there won't be any," he says.

"What's your problem?" I ask.

"I don't have a problem," he says. "But you will if you don't stay away." I clench my fist, putting all my anger into it. "Break is almost over," Niall says, giving me a smug look.
