Sorry it's been a while since I updated, but I just needed a break from everything. I needed to clear my head, but now, I am back.
This is the last chapter, but there will be an epilogue. And I will make a "Notes" for this story like I did with Dusk Till Dawn.
I rest in the wheelchair after my attempt a couple weeks ago. After everything that seemed bleak, I was still here. Why was I still here? I had nothing left. Nothing other than a force deciding that I wasn't ready, but I was for sure ready to be with her again. I don't know who I am anymore. Her presence was a part of me, and now, she's gone.
I was finally getting release from the hospital after what seemed to be forever. Zayn and Camila came to pick me up. Zayn strolled me to the lobby and sets me by one of the couches. Camila kneels down in front of me and smiles, "Liam, Zayn and I are going to sign some papers. Do you want to come with us?"
I shake my head and look away. I stare at the stack of magazines on the table. The top magazine catches my attention. I read the heading: L James skipped out on his tv promotion for his movie debut. I roll my eyes and turn my head away.
My eyes catch a glimpse of a woman standing by the vending machine. She didn't seem to be taller than five feet, and her long wavy brown hair flowed behind her. I feel the rush on my cheeks as I examine her more. Although her back faced me, her presence was very much like her.
I wasn't sure until she turned around, but even then, their resemblance was uncanny. As soon as she turns to her side, my eyes widen a little. "Ally," I mutter. I press my hand against the wheels and try to drive myself forward, but I wasn't moving. Ally was only across the room from me. I needed to get to her. "Ally," I raise my voice.
I set my hands on the arms of the wheelchair and prop myself up. Immediately, I was hit with the stinging sensation of the scar on my waistline. I place my hand over the wound, feeling the stitches, and continue to pull myself up. My breath becomes inconsistent as she walks away from me.
"Ally, wait!" I shouted. I stand on my toes, but my legs went numb, and I collapse on the ground. I fell on my side and growl at the pain. I lift my eyes, and anger washes over me as her presence disappears. I smash my fist onto the ground and groan.
I shift my eyes around the room, dragging my legs with me. I had to find her. She was here. In the hospital. I couldn't let her slip away.
"Liam!" Camila gasps.
Suddenly, I feel Zayn's hands wrapped under my arms, and he lifts me back up and rests me in my wheelchair. My eyes skim around the room, searching for her.
"Liam, what are you thinking?" Zayn asks.
"I saw Ally," I answer, hearing another gasp from Camila. I connect my eyes with Zayn's and see him puzzled. "I saw her. She was there, standing by the vending machine, and then she...she disappeared."
Zayn shakes his head. "You must be seeing things," he replies. "Or it could just be your head playing tricks on you."
"No, it was real," I respond. "She was here. I swear. Take me to her."
Camila speaks up, "Liam, Ally is g-gone."
I shake my head. "No, she's not. I just saw her standing over there," I point out, beginning to have tears in my eyes. I have no idea why, but tears quickly fell down my cheeks.
"Liam, please..." Camila begins, "...she is gone, and you know that. Her very last moment was with you."
I shake my head. "No!" I shouted. "Take me to Ally! I want to see her!" Camila sniffles a sob. I push them out of my sight, looking around the room to find her. I know she is here. I spin wheels, and this time, they actually worked.
