Dinah and I walk on the sidewalk of the outdoor mall before we went down to the set. I was on the phone with Lauren. She has been staying in a lot lately in the hotel. She hasn't had the energy to go out, and I hope she's getting better.
"Yes, Lauren," I said. "Dinah and I will be there at seven."
"And don't forget to buy some snacks, I am dying with the food scheduling here," Lauren states.
"Alright," I said. "I hope you have a great day."
"I'll just probably talk to Mani or Camz on the phone later to see what they are up to," she says.
I nod my head, and my eyes catch a charming human being walking towards Dinah and me. "Lauren, I have to go now," I said.
"I'll see you later," Lauren says.
"See you," I reply.
I look at my screen as Lauren ends the call. I held my phone in my hand as I wave at Liam. "Hey," I greet.
"Hi, Allyson, Dinah," he greets.
I turn to Dinah and see her wave happily to him as well. "Hi, Liam," she says. Dinah elbows me on my arm, giving me a wink.
I blush slightly. Two weeks passed since that night has occurred. I did not mention anything to Camila yet because I know it will crush her. I wouldn't know what to do if I was in her position. Knowing that the one you've been waiting for is gone and is not coming back.
On other hand, Liam and I have been spending some time together, and through them, I have learned that he is very different from the one I've dated a year ago. I guess because Simon isn't here, he was able to do more, and I didn't really mind that at all. I still felt guilty for not telling Liam what actually happened during the six months because I made him tell his. I just haven't find the right time to tell him.
We've been on one date since that night. Actually, I really wouldn't call it date because Dinah and Lauren were there. It was a small get together so Lauren and Dinah could examine Liam. And he passed their test with flying colors.
"Where are we going first?" Dinah asks.
Liam answers, "Wherever you guys want to go."
I feel my stomach a little bit empty. "Actually, I'm kind of hungry," I said, touching my stomach.
"I can take you guys to eat," Liam says. "There is this amazing chef in the city. It's Dining in Style. Dinah, you can invite Harry if you want."
Dinah shakes her head. "No. He's working right now, but maybe next time, he can join us."
"Let's go then," I said.
Liam leads us to his car. Dinah takes the backseat, and I sit in the front. I turn on the radio as Liam drives into the Main Street. Dinah and I begin to sing along to various songs on the radio. Liam joined us at some parts. We jam along until Liam parked in a lane in front of a restaurant.
We unbuckle our seatbelts and exit the vehicle. As we walk through the doorway of the restaurant, I take notice of the storefront. A big sign of Dining in Style flickered on the window, announcing the store was open by a neon light sign on the other side of the window.
Inside, we were automatically greeted by a waiter. He gives us a welcoming smile and says, "Good day, how many?"
"Three," Liam answers.
The waiter nods his head and gestures his head behind him. "Follow me," he says.
He picks up three menus and places it between his arm and body. He leads us to a table for four - a chair on each side - near the center of the room. Liam and I sit across from each other, and Dinah sit on the side. The waiter hands us our menus and says, "I'll come back for your orders."
