Liam's POV
Another tug on my arm and I swear...
Jade yanks me to the swing set. I don't know why she wanted to come to the park. The sun wasn't revealing itself anytime now. Clouds were still taking over the sky.
"Come on, Paynie," Jade says, sitting down on the swing. She wraps her hand around the chains of the seat. "Push me."
I press my hand against her back and push forward. Her giggle was cute, but it wasn't like Ally's. Her touch wasn't the same like Ally's. None of her features were like Ally's.
Why am I here again?
Ally has the sweetest of smiles. Unique. Her heart is too big, which is why she obeys her father. Too much. I'm not sure what I heard the other day. My mind couldn't stop thinking about it. Ally called me a friend; I didn't know whether to take that as a step forward or a step back, but my heart isn't upset because of that. When Simon walked in, Ally dropped her hand from mine as if Simon controlled her to. She wasn't the Ally that I know. She was different: more conservative and cautious. I didn't exactly understand why she would act like this. I'm not concern that she didn't want to hold my hand, rather, I'm curious to know what kind of input Simon has on her.
"Liam," Jade's voice brings me back. Her feet are now on the ground as her head turned a degree to look at me. "What are you thinking about?" she asks, nudging me on my chest. "Come on, you can tell me anything."
I stare into her eyes. It was less romantic than she thought it was. Her eyes give me some vague answers about what I wanted to know. I take a seat on the swing. "Jade, I would just like to clarify that I am not interested in what you are thinking."
"Liam, you don't have to be afraid," she says, resting her hand on my lap, but I remove her hand immediately. "I've been in multiple relationships before."
I crease my brow, wondering. I clear my throat and ask, "Jade, do you really think you and me are a couple?"
Jade scoffs and nods as if I just asked a stupid yet easy question. "Why else would you be here instead at that virgin's house?"
I tilt my head, shaking my head, angry. "Don't call Ally that," I said.
"It's true," Jade says. "She never let guy's touch her before. She can be a lesbian for all that we know."
"And you know exactly nothing," I rebuttal. "Ally, unlike some people, are waiting for the right person to come. They don't mess around with other people."
"And what?" Jade snickers. "You think you're the right person for her. All I ever seen her do is push you away. She's doesn't even acknowledge your beauty like I do."
"That just proves that you're just into me because of the way that I look," I said. Jade blinks her eyes a couple of times, possibly trying to think of a way to defend herself. "Ally does know me. More than you would know," I add.
"That's not true," Jade says. "I love you. Why can't you see that?"
I shake my head at her nonsense. "You don't love me. I believe you are capable of love, and you will find someone who likes the real you, but I'm not him." I push myself closer to her; however, she leans herself in and smacks her lips against mine.
I pull back, furrowing my brows. "Why did you do you that?"
"Don't say you don't like me? I've felt a spark, and I know for sure you did too," she says, but I shake my head in denial. There was nothing good with that kiss or the last kiss.
"You know very well how I feel about you doing this to yourself," I said. "I don't want you to give up your innocence for some guy you don't know and love."
