My eyes flutter, and I see the ceiling of the hotel room. An ache pounds in my head a little, and I lift myself up. I sit up and lean my head back against the headboard. My eyes see Dinah and Lauren packing.
I rub the temple of my head, hoping I can recall what happened last night. I look down and see myself in my shorts. My eyes widen as I remember a few moments of what happened. I went to the party and found Harry, and then Dinah saw us. I got assaulted twice and bullied. I remember meeting Lennon again and the things she said to me, and Liam and our conversation...Our conversation was ringing a bell now.
"Hey, Ally," Lauren greeted.
Dinah glances at me for a small moment and turns away. She was silent. Just like Normani in the past.
Lauren continues, "We must get to packing. We don't want to miss our flight."
I widen my eyes, not notify of the changed plans. "What? I thought we were leaving next week."
"You can stay," Dinah coldly says. "But Lauren and me are going to go."
"Dinah," I mumble.
Lauren presses her hand on Dinah's shoulder and tries to ease the tension a little. She gives me her attention. "I'm sorry. But we have to go home. My purpose was ruined by that douche, and Dinah is upset right now." I nod my head, understanding. "Are you going to come?"
I thought of Liam, and in a heartbeat, I answer, "Yes, I'm coming. Just let me get dressed and pack." I uncover the sheets and head into the shower. I scrub away the negative vibes on my body. Images of last night flashes in my mind, and I pause for a moment. Whoever Lennon is, I didn't want fight her like I did with Jade. If she really wants Liam that much, then she can have him. I'm done playing the damsel in distress. If it's this hard for us to be together, maybe it wasn't meant to be. Liam and I are different, but the only thing that gets in between us are the people we have in our lives.
I shrug the vibes away and hop out of the shower. Once I dry myself, I slip into a new set of clothes and exit the bathroom. Dinah and Lauren were absent in the room. I walk up to their luggage and saw a sticky note laying on top of it. I read, Went to get some lunch. BRB.
I look over to my luggage by the wall and carry it over to my bed. I unzip and open it. Suddenly, I hear a knock on the door. I turn to the door and walk to it. I turn the handle and swing the door open.
My brows crease, seeing an older woman standing in front of me. "Hello?" I question.
Her eyes trail up my body, examining me just like Lennon, and she gave me a slight cold look. "Hello, my name is Karen," she greets. "I'm here to talk to you about your relationship with my son."
"Son?" I question.
"Pardon me, I'm Liam's mum," she answers, and I widen my eyes a little. My heart beat fastens, and I step aside.
"Come on in, ma'am," I said.
She gives me testy eyes and struts in the room, carrying her purse on her arm. Her eyes observe the room, and I slowly follow her. She walks pass Dinah and Lauren's bed and stands beside my bed. I allow her to take a seat, and she sits down on my bed. I stood by Dinah and Lauren's bed and watch her observe the room. In a few seconds, her eyes land on me, and chills of fear trinket down my spine. "What are you doing? Sit down," she says.
I blink my eyes and slowly sink down on the bed. Just one look from her, I knew she had a hatred for me. "So, when did you two meet?" she asks.
I was scared to answer, but I pace myself. "Liam and I met when he first came down to the US," I begin. "He came to my father's birthday party, and I handed him a piece of cake."
