My eyes open, and I see an unfamiliar ceiling. I move my head a little, but it ached terribly. I moan slightly and feel someone's presence right beside me. I turn my head to the right and see Lauren sitting beside me, smiling with great relief. "You're awake," she said. I crease my brow, questioning everything. "Ally, you're in the hospital," she said, and that answered part of my question. She turns back to Dinah, who sat on the couch, and exclaims, "Ally's awake!"

"Thank goodness," Dinah says. She smiles a little at me, and I feel her anger wearing off.

"W-what happened?" I ask.

"Ms. Gomez said that when she found you, you collapsed on the floor. We woke up to the sound of your voice, calling for Selena," Lauren answers. I crease my brows, not recalling the events.

Lauren pats my shoulder gently. "It's okay. Maybe you'll remember soon." I nod my head slightly and sigh. "How are you feeling?"

I answer breathlessly, "I'm tired. I can't really feel my legs at the moment. And where's Selena?"

Dinah answers, "She's talking to the doctor. He said he had something urgent to tell us, but Selena pulled him out of the room, and they began conversating. It's been almost an hour. They should be done by now."

Lauren sets her hand on my arm and squeezes it a little. I give her my attention, and she assures me, "Selena's probably taking a timeout. Earlier, she said that she had witnessed you passing out like before."

"I did?" I question. I thought about it and remember I was writing to Liam about my final letter before I knocked out. And when I woke up, I was in the hospital, and Selena was in tears. "Last time..." I begin. "...Selena was crying. Why was that?"

Lauren shrugs. "I don't know. I wasn't there," she answers. "And now that I think about it, she has been gone for a while now."

"I hope everything is fine," Dinah says.

I crease my brows, wondering what could be wrong. There should be nothing wrong. Lauren shushed slightly and squeezed my arm once more. "Everything is fine. Okay, trust me."

I smile and nod my head. Suddenly, the door swings open, and Selena enters the room. She forcibly smiles, seeing my presence, and I frown a little. "What's wrong?" I ask. I adjust my head on my pillow and groan, feeling a slight ache in my head.

Selena shakes her head. "Nothing. You should rest," she says. Her eyes shift to Lauren, and she places her hand on Lauren's shoulder. "May I speak with you for a moment?"

Lauren nods her head, and the two exit the room together. I shift my eyes over to Dinah and roll my body to the side, so I can get a better view of her. She lowers her eyes, so we couldn't make eye contact. I can feel the tension between us rising.

"Dinah?" I ask. She didn't move a limb nor answer back. "Please, listen to me. I'm sorry."

She raises her head and looks at me. "Sorry? Sorry for what, exactly? For lying or for helping Harry lie?"

"All of it," I said. I wet my dry lips. "I didn't want to lie to you, but I try to persuade him to tell you. But he didn't. And even if he didn't, the fact is he loves you very much. He was afraid you wouldn't accept him, knowing who he actually was."

"Ally, have you ever consider that I'm just like you?" she questions. "I want the truth from him to, just as much as you wanted it from Liam. And once you find out the truth, you didn't forgive him."

"I didn't, but I let him go because everything is complicated," I answer. "I want nothing more than for the real him to show up on my front door. Even if I die on this very day, I would want to see him. However, now... I would never because he is with his true love."
