I stare at myself in the mirror, adjusting my black tie and glancing at myself in the black suit. I stare blankly, feeling the numbness inside of me. But the only real thing I felt was anger. Angry at everyone who shunned me. Angry at the ones who tore our relationship apart. My eyes remained puffed and red. And I was over it.
I hear a knock behind me, and I spin around, seeing Dinah and Camila standing at the door, dressed in black. Their eyes were as red as mine, if not worse. "Hey," Dinah croaked.
I stare at the two. Camila adjusted her glasses on the bridge of her nose. "The guys are ready," Camila speaks, folding her arms.
"You guys can leave without me," I spoke.
"We are all in this together," Dinah speaks up. "We go as a group."
"Okay, I'll be right down," I answer.
Dinah and Camila stare at me for a moment before they turn around and exit the room. My eyes observe the room. The room where Ally and I shared. I had lied to her that there was only one room available, and she believed it.
I trot down the stairs, and Dinah, Camila, Lauren, Normani, Noah, Niall, Louis, Zayn, and I gather in one vehicle. I don't know why we all couldn't go in separate cars. I was capable of driving myself, but I have a feeling they believed I was going to leave and harm myself, which was a ridiculous idea. I feel fine, and my brain is functional.
We arrive at the church not too long. I step inside, and I was immediately greeted by a stranger. He was big in size and resembled someone I used to know. I shake his hand and inform us to enter a room. I walk towards it until something catches my attention.
Over by the corner of the room, I see none other than Rita and Lennon dress in black, talking happily to the guests. I stomp up to them and crease my brows. "What are you guys doing here?" I question. My presence causes the guests to walk away from them.
"We're paying our respects," Lennon answers.
Rita places her hands over her heart and adds, "We're really sorry to what happened to Ally. You must be devastated."
"Don't act like you care about Ally," I spit at them. "Go home. You're not welcome here."
"Liam, we are sorry," Lennon says, making the innocent face like usual. "Believe us."
"I don't believe a single word that comes out of your mouth," I exclaim. "You lost that from me when you tore me away from her."
Lennon bites her bottom lip and scowls, revealing her true color. She talks low in volume, "I'm sorry that she died, I'll admit that, but I'm not sorry for the things that I did. She deserves the right to know where she stands between you and me."
"I am not prize," I answer. "Only you two see me like that. Ally never did. She would never fought anyone just to get me. She didn't waste her energy on that. Unlike you two. Rita, does Lennon know of our secretive past?"
Rita shot her brows up as Lennon shifts her attention on her. "What past?" Lennon asks.
I smirk. "I guess not," I reply.
I walk away from them and enter the room. I skim through the room and find Zayn and the others sitting in the front. As I walk through the aisle, I see an empty seat on the second row and decided to sit there instead. I keep my eyes on the front, and I was amazed to find the big man from before standing on the stage and behind the podium.
His head leans close to the microphone, and he speaks, "Thank you to everyone for coming. We are gather here for the funeral of my little sister, Allyson Brooke Hernandez. Most of you don't know me, but I am Brandon Hernandez, Allyson's older brother." My eyes shot open, and I lift my head up, straightening my posture.
