I open my eyes, remembering the events of Liam and my date. The date was perfect. A little too perfect. Maybe it was just a dream. Maybe it didn't actually happen at all.
I uncover myself and look out my window. Through it, I see Liam smiling to himself as he write something down at his table. Maybe it wasn't just a dream. Or maybe, he's smiling and writing about something else.
I turn away and walk into the bathroom. I change out of my pajamas and into a new set of clothes. I brush my hair and wash my face. After I finish, I trot down the stairs and into the kitchen for some breakfast.
"Morning, Allyson," Simon greets, taking his eyes off the newspaper to get a glimpse of me.
"Morning, Simon," I said with a yawn.
I walk to the freezer and open it. I pull out the frozen Eggo box and pick out two waffles. I set them in the toaster and waited until they popped out. I place the waffles on a plate and pour syrup over it. Grabbing a fork along the way, I sit down on a folding chair and dig into my breakfast.
"How was your study session?" Simon asks.
"What?" I ask.
"Yesterday? You had a study session," Simon explains.
"Oh!" I said, remembering my cover up. "It went well. I think I understand some facial acting, but I also learn tricks that will help me improve."
"That's great," Simon says, smiling.
I smile back, relief that he bought it.
"How was Sofia's band concert?" I ask.
"Sofia and her classmates did very well," Simon says. "Each of them harmonized with one another."
"That's good," I said. "Camila must have been proud."
"She was when she found out Sofia is going to Washington DC to explore," Simon says.
I widen my eyes, amazed and happy. "Wow, Sofia is really killing it," I said. "She deserves to go. She works really hard for it, so it's her break time."
"Well, I'm not sure," Simon says. "Sofia is only just so little. And we're going to be gone a whole week."
"When is it?"
"Third week of May," he answers.
"That's perfect timing," I said. "Sofia doesn't have school, so does the rest of us. We can watch the house."
Simon shrugs, considering my words. After a few seconds, he nods his head. "Okay, I will tell Ms. Dawson we can go," he says.
I smile. "Good," I said.
Ahhh!!!
Simon and I turn our head at the stairs. A loud scream. Sounded like Camila's or Sofia's. Simon and I got up from our seats, and I can feel Simon getting tensed already. We walk up the stairs and see Normani's room open. Simon and I walk until we reach the room where the noise came from. And to our surprise, we would have never thought to see this.
In Normani's room, Niall and Normani laid in bed naked as their clothes scattered on the floor. They hold onto the blanket that kept them covered from us. To the right of us stood Sofia in Camila's arms as Camila's widen to the imagery. I observe Simon and see his fist beginning to form.
Niall and Normani exchange looks before looking at us, shocked.
"I can explain," Niall said.
"No explanation needed," he says. "You both know the rules, especially you, Normani. We will schedule a wedding."
