Ally's POV

Liam and I walk to his backyard, and I sit on the swinging bench. Liam walks behind me and pushes the bench a little. I chuckle, feeling the free air hitting my skin.

I look up at the sky and see the clouds forming. All I can think about is Sheila and Roger and how she knew that Roger will be waiting for her there. "Liam, do you think Sheila and Roger reunited?" I ask.

"Yes," Liam answers, and I look at him. "If you love somebody, you should wait on them until they can be yours. Otherwise, it's cruel for someone to have to wait for that long and not be reunited."

I nod my head, agreeing. "I hope they lived happily ever after," I said.

He wraps his around me and rests his head on shoulder. "What about you and me?"

"What about you and me?" I repeat.

"Do you see a future?" Liam asks.

No doubt, "Yes," I answer. "But I feel like you changed a bit too much, and I still have to get use to that."

"I get that," he replies. "So, is there anywhere else you would want to go or do you want to stay here for the remaining time?"

"Actually, I want to show you something," I said. "If you don't mind."

"Not at all," Liam says, kissing my neck.

He releases me from his arm, and I stand up. We walk through the house and exit the front porch. We get inside his vehicle, and he turns on the engine. "Okay, where are we going?" Liam asks.

"The lake house," I answer. "Do you remember where it is?"

"Uh..." Liam stutters. He scratches the back of his head, a little confused. He looked adorable with his thinking face.

I chuckle lightly and assure him, "It's okay. I can tell you the directions, but first, you have to drive back into city before I can start."

He nods his head and shifts the gear into reverse. He backs out of the driveway and drives into the main street. Once we arrive in the city, I begin to give him directions to the house. Within forty minutes, Liam pulls the car by the house and parks near a tree. I smile, looking at the house.

"This is a nice lake house," Liam comments.

I smile and crease my brows a little. "Yeah, remember when we came here," I said. "That was a lot of fun."

"Was it now?" Liam replies, a little intrigued. I nod my head and meet eyes with him. A pit grows in my stomach, and I didn't know what for. Maybe because Liam looked different. Or maybe I was expecting him to be happy when I showed him this house.

I unbuckle my seatbelt, and we exit the vehicle. Liam follow me up the porch, and we stood in front of the door. I pull out a key behind the picture frame by the door and jiggle it in the keyhole until the door unlocks. "I did some remodeling, but I'm not finished yet," I said.

He nods his head without saying a word. I swing the door open. Liam observes the house, a little amazed. "How often do you come here?" He asks.

"I come here daily, so I can finish painting and reorganizing," I answer. "I work hard, so one day, we can live here."

Liam darts his eyes on me, a little tensed, but I see that going away as he takes a step closer. "You did all of this...for us?" he asks. "Why?"

"Because I love you, and we wanted to live in this house," I answer.

He smiles and brings his hand and holds my cheek. "My little angel, I love you too," he replies. He leans down, and our lips connect. His hands drop to my back, and he holds my body firmly. Butterflies grow in my stomach as we deepen the kiss. I slide my hand up his body and grasp his collar tightly.
