I walk pass the hallway and through a couple of doors. I had lost him when he turned to a corner. I spin around, wondering where I was and how I got here. I groan a little, staring at the black walls. I had to accept it. I was lost.
I try to go back, retracing my step and recalling the things I saw. I walk pass a couple of doors and through the hall, and when I turn another corner, I hear a gentle whisper from two people. I peek my head slightly out of the corner and witness Liam talking to a pretty brunette lady who was taller than me but shorter than Liam. Her hair was dark brown. She held a little basket as she leans forward and kisses him on the cheek. I catch my breath and swallow hard. There was only one thing that rang in my mind.
I shake my head. I shouldn't be thinking about this. I shouldn't overthink. Just breathe, Allyson. Breathe.
I take a quick glance before I spin around, and my shoes squeaked against the marble floor. I froze, hoping they didn't hear it. I close my eyes tightly and listen to their footsteps approach me.
I shake off all of the jitters inside of me and catch my breath. I decide to turn around and face him. He takes his final steps before he stands in front of me. I raise an eyebrow, unsure on what to do. Actually, I knew what I wanted to do. But I couldn't say or process it. Now that I was this close to him, I can see what Lauren was talking about. His eyes showed no emotion aside from curiosity. Nothing was awakened nor was anything comfortable. I feel the vibe of two strangers meeting for the first time, except I knew him.
I mentally shake those thoughts away and present myself with a small friendly smile. Liam relaxes his eyebrows, and he grins happily. "Ally," he states.
I nod my head and blush a little. His tone was a little different, but it didn't bother me as much. "Hi, Liam," I greet slowly.
Liam takes a step closer and holds out his hand for a shake. I lower my eyes on it, finding it strange. He speaks, "I'm glad you're here."
I smile to myself and lift my hand to shake his. However, the brunette girl reveals herself behind Liam. She butts Liam's hand out of the way and holds hers where his was. "Hi, I'm Lennon," she introduces.
I smile at her and shake her hand. "Hi, Lennon. My name is Allyson, but you can call me Ally," I said. Lennon smiles back and disconnects our hands. From a small moment, I see her wiping her hand from her jeans, turning her head away from me.
I nod my head and look at Liam and Lennon. I press my lips together and continue smiling. "Yeah, I will see you guys back on set, alright?" I said, pointing behind me.
I didn't know exactly where I was going, but I didn't want to be in the same room as the two. Things could not end well for me, so it's better if I just leave before I find the heartbreaking truth out.
I turn around and begin walking away. However, Liam swipes my wrist in his hand, sending me a gazillion chills. Old feelings started to crawl back in from his familiar touch, and I force myself not to let my walls down just yet.
"Ally," his voices sends me more chills. "Can I have a quick word with you? Alone."
I spin around and see Lennon passing the two of us by, leaving in depress. "Yes, Liam," I lowered my eyes and stare at his chest, avoiding eye contact. He looked more muscular and athletic than before. He could practically be a model with his build.
"Ally," he begins, bringing his index finger under my chin and lifting it up. Our eyes meet, and I somehow got this discomfort from looking into his eyes. I think I'm just odd or maybe my delusions have gotten to me. "You want to have coffee with me after set?" He asks.
I crease my brows, "What about Lennon? Isn't she—"
He gives me a stern look, as to question what I was going to question, and I stopped and lowered my head, feeling embarrassed.
