Camila and I sat in the first row, watching Liam and Zayn rehearse their lines on the stage. I observe Liam the most, seeing how he talks to the audience with his hand gestures and how he connects with them through his eyes.
Since I accepted the fact that I did in fact have feelings for Liam, I have been keeping my distance from him. It will only do me worse if I didn't.
Liam's eyes meet mine as he speaks the words, "I've never looked at anyone so intensive in my life." I smile a little, trying my hardest not to blush.
"Wait," Ms. Gomez calls out. "Liam, read your lines correctly."
Liam looks at her and apologizes. He looks at his script once more and speaks, "She is the most beautiful creature I have ever beheld." His eyes glance back at me, and his smile widens.
Camila and I were up next. We walk on the stage, and I admire what would be the stars in the sky. We hear our cue, and Camila walks up to me, greeting, "Jane, what a lovely night, don't you think?"
I smile and nod. "Indeed. Mr. Bingley is just what a young man ought to be: sensible good humored, lively," I reply.
"He is also handsome," Camila points out, "His character thereby is complete."
"I was very much flatter he asked me to dance a second time. I never expect such a compliment," I said.
"Did you not? I did for you," Camila says. We say a few more of our lines before our scene ended.
Class ends, and Camila and I rush out of the room. Out the door, I see Niall standing by the wall, smiling at us. We walk to him until I hear my name. I turn around and see Liam making his way to me. "Ally," he pants.
I tighten my hold on the straps of my backpack. My eyes meet his.
"Can we talk?" Liam questions, regaining his breath control.
I glance back at Niall and Camila and face them for a moment. I turn back to Liam and frowns. "I'm sorry. Niall and Camila are probably waiting on me," I said. I bite my lower lip, waiting for what he has to say.
"Later?" He questions.
I nod my head, taking a step back. "Maybe," I answer. I turn around and meet Niall and Camila by the wall, waiting for me. Niall's eyes observe Liam as he walks away. "Ready to go?" I question.
Niall darts his eyes on me and smiles. "Yes," he responds.
We walk out to his car. He didn't have practice today because there were news that it was going hurricane. Roads and traffic would be hazardous.
Less than ten minutes, we were in front of the house. I can feel small droplets of rain hitting my skin. We enter the house, and I walk up to my room. I close the door and hear the loud wind roar. I walk to my window and close the curtains.
Just then, Niall enters the room. I look at him, and he smiles. "Excuse me for entering."
"Niall, what are you doing here?" I ask. "This doesn't look good."
He nods his head and carries on, "I know. But I just need a moment with you alone. I need to talk to you about something,"
"What is it?" I ask. I take a seat on the bed as he walks closer to me. "Sit down," I tell him. He pulls a chair from the table and sits down. "What do you want to talk about?" I ask.
He breathes in and sighs heavily. He rubs his hands together and locks his fingers afterwards. "Ally, do you believe friends can develop feelings for one another?"
I tilt my head, creasing my brow. "I believe that there's a possibility. Why?"
"I have this friend who likes this girl," he begins. "He has known her for a long time now and wants to ask her out. The only problem is that he's dating someone he was force to."
