"Y/n I'm sorry, I can't make it to your awards show " Your dad says, over the phone. The god damn phone. You sigh,

"It's okay dad, I get it. You're busy" You say, sounding dejected.

"Are you sure? I can cancel, I'm sure the guys wouldn't mind" Chris offers.

"No dad it's fine, Seb and Scarlett said they'll come" You say. Chris sighs from the other side of the phone.

"Okay...tell them to take pictures! I still want to see you get it" He says.

"Okay, I will. I'll talk later dad, I love you" You say.

"Okay sweetheart, I love you" Your dad says. You take the phone away from your ear and run your hand through your hair. You flop down on Sebastian's couch and groan. He was always busy, and it always just happened to be when there was something big happening in your life.

"I'm guessing it didn't go well?" Sebastian asks you.

"He's always so God damn busy, it's like he never has time for me. Hell it's like I don't even exist to him sometimes" You say into the cushion. Sebastian moves from the doorway and sits on the edge of the couch.

"Hey, your dad might always be busy but you know he'd do anything for you in a heartbeat, but this just happened to be something really, really important to your dad. He'd had loved to been here tonight but some things are just like that" Sebastian says. You lift your head and look at him.

"I know ,I know. But he's missed it three years in a row. What if he-"

"I'm going to have to stop you there because that sounds negative and we have to pick up Scarlett in about 20 minutes, so go change into your other uniform." Sebastian tells you.

"Yes sir" You say sarcastically. You roll yourself off of Sebastians couch and onto the floor. You land with a thud, Sebastian holds out his hand out to you for support. You take it and stand up, heading off to the room that Sebastian has for you. You change out of your clothes and into your school uniform, which you hate. Frickin' Blazers freak you out, and you still can't do your stupid tie. You get ready and grab your phone, your lockscreen flashes. A picture you took with your dad a few months ago, your smiling like an idiot and he's just looking at you. You get so entranced by the picture you don't hear Sebastian call your name multiple times.

"Y/n!" He says. You look up and see a confused looking Sebastian staring back at you.

"What?" You ask him.

"Come on we need to go" He says, grabbing his car keys.

"Wait!" You say, he turns around to look at you "Can you do my tie?" You ask him. He smiles at you.

"Your dad never taught you how to do this?" He says, tilting your head up by your chin. 

"He tried, but I still can't do it" You admit, making Sebastian laugh "Don't laugh! You'll make me feel bad" You say, faking offence and pouting.

"No, no it's actually adorable, I can imagine your dad getting all upset because you can't do your tie" He says. You laugh as you remember your dad trying to teach you how to do it the night before you started the school

"Y/n I don't understand what's so difficult about it! You just wrap it over a few times!" Your dad says, a hint of seriousness in his voice.

"I just don't get it! Where does it go from there?" You say, baffled by the tie. 

"You put it through all of the wraps and pull it out from the bottom" He explains. You nod and make an 'o' shape with your mouth. You put it through all of the individual wraps and run into the living room to show your dad.

"I did it!" You cheer proudly. Your dad looks over at you and groans.

"Y/n no" Your dad says. Anthony looks at you from the kitchen door.

"Y/n yes" He says. You look back to your dad, a look of defeat on your face.

"I'm never gonna get it" You say, flopping down next to your dad and cuddling into his side. He puts his arm around you.

"You will eventually, but I can do it for you until then" He says.

"Okay, done" Sebastian says, standing back to admire his work. 

"Thanks" You say, grabbing your blazer and putting it on.

"Okay, lets go" You say. 

You, Sebastian and Scarlett arrive at your school just before the ceremony starts. You quickly make your way up to the person that's looking after your year group.

"Name?" The teacher asks.

"Y/n" You say. The teacher looks down her list and looks at you.

"Evans?" You nod and the teacher directs you where to go. You run backstage and meet up with your friend.

"Oh thank God your here, we didn't think you'd come" Your friend Dylan says. Your other friend Billie comes up behind him.

"Oh God we're up next! Y/n, how do I look?" She asks you.

"Billie you look fine." You reassure her.

"And now moving onto our upper school awards,  for effort and attendance,Dylan Everret" The Headteacher calls, you and Billie clap and cheer enthusiastically for him. 

"Billie Conston for attendance" She calls again. Once again, you clap and cheer enthusiastically. They go through the full of your year group and yet you still haven't been called.

"And now usually we only keep this for military servicemen but seen as it's for Captain AMerica himselfs daughter I will make an exception." The headteacher calls. Your head shoots up and you run to the side of the stage.

"And for Academic Excellence, Effort and Attendance, Y/n Evans" But instead of it being the headteacher, it's your dad.

"Dad!" You run out from the wings of the stage and straight into your dads arms. He lifts you into the air and spins you around. Sebastian sits back in his chair, his phone out recording the interaction between you and your dad, while Scarlett holds back literal tears of joy. 

"I missed you so much" You say, tears slipping out from your eyes. Your dad runs his hand up and down your back.

"I know, and I'm so sorry I haven't been here these past few weeks. It's just after your mom-"

"Dad please just be quiet and give me my award" You say. The teacher hands your dad your award and hands it to you. You hold it up and cheer, causing Sebastian and Scarlett to cheer, then causing a crowd uproar. You and your dad go down the steps off of the stage and walk back over to Sebastian and Scarlett.

"You knew, didn't you?" You ask Sebastian and Sacrlett, making their faces go blush red.

"Knew is a relative term if you think about it" Scarlett says, looking away from you. Sebastian, well Sebastian tries to keep in his laughter. Chris grabs the three of you and swiftly takes you outside so Sebastian can breathe again. Once you all get outside, you and Sebastian burst out laughing, you just have that affect on each other. You and him stop laughing and you pull all three of them in for a hug.

"I love my three big dorks." You say.

"Actually i'm dork dad" Chris says.

"Fine, I love my dork dad and my two other dorks"
