Chapter 8

"I will come tomorrow to take the medicine", Itachi said, as he stood in front of your house's door with you after walking you back home.
"Sure, you can come at morning if you want, they are gonna be ready by then",  you said with a nod, then entered your house while he left.

You went directly to the working space and started preparing the medicine immediately. Being very skilled you didn't have any difficulty or struggles in extracting the medicine from the herbs and making the pills. A thought crossed your mind while doing so, you remembered how he mixed the random herbs with those you asked him to pick, you thought about it for a while, and then decided to do a little something about it.

It was evening, you were in the kitchen preparing dinner when you heard the door gets open as lady Noriko had finally came back home.
"Welcome home m'lady", you welcome her with a smile, holding the ladle as she smiled taking her shoes off and walking in.
"I see you finished your work and you're back home safe", she said as she started helping you with the dinner.
"Yes, the road was long but we didn't face encounter any troubles. There were enough herbs to collect so we were able to get back early", you said with a smile tasting the soup.
"Good sweetheart, I was a bit worried about you", she said.
"No need to worry, it was totally fine and I wasn't alone", you said with a small blush on your cheeks, why does this keep happening?

It was morning of the next day, and as you havd been expecting, you have heard a knock on the door, it was Itachi.
"Here are the pills. Just take one per day, and also try not to push yourself too hard, at least at this period of time until you're healed, this will help speed up the healing process", you said, giving him the bottle containing his medicinal pills.
"Thank you", he said, taking them from you.
"Also, there is something else...", you muttered, grabing something from a nearby drawer.
"These are eyedrops...for your eyes", you said, as you handed him the eyedrops container, while he just reminded silent and looked at the bottle for a moment then looked back at you. He didn't even mention anything about his eyes...

"How did you know I have sight troubles?", he asked, narrowing his eyes slightly suspiciously.
"Yesterday,  at the meadow, you mixed some other herbs with the ones I asked you to collect, also the marks under your eyes...I just assumed your eyes are sore and tired, and maybe dry so I prepared this for you", you said with a kind little smile, looking at his eyes, again, as his features softened hearing your response.
'Why?', he wanted to ask you so many questions, why did you do this? Are you always this nice to everyone? Who are you exactly?...

"Thanks again, for everything", he said as he was about to leave when he remembered something.
"This had fallen from you the other day I guess", he said, his hand reaching inside his cloak and getting something, then giving it to you, totally focused on what will your reaction be.
You gasped loudly and squeaked happily seeing your lost precious bracelet in front of your eyes. You couldn't believe it! you took it quickly from his hand and examined it carefully seeing it's not broken or anything. Immediately, you put it happily on your wrist as you bowed your head and thanked Itachi a lot for bringing it back.

There is nothing suspicious...you probably don't even know how much special this bracelet is, it is represents the Uchiha...his own clan...

"There is nothing I can say or do to thank you enough, I'm deeply grateful", you said with a big smile, you almost hugged him, luckily you managed to hold yourself back or else he'd think you're weird.

It was now his chance to ask you more about the bracelet and aboutthe Uchiha symbol on it.
"I can tell it's so dear to you. May I ask where did you get it from?", he asked gently, you just nodded and smiled more.
"It's a gift, from my parents", you started, causing him to narrow his eyes, your parents? Who are they?
"They died when I was a little girl, they left this for me, so I can remember them", you added, looking at the piece of jewelry adorning your wrist.
"I see, do you know what's that symbol on it means?", he asked, keeping his eyes on your face.
"I don't really know. But lady Noriko told me it's a thing that is too close to my heart, something that will always guide me to my destiny and...back to my origins...I never really knew what she meant...but...it is very beautiful,  isn't it?", you asked, looking at him.

'She is an Uchiha without a doubt, but she doesn't even know it...', his thoughts were confirmed. He just looked at your face for a while, he has so many questions in his head at that moment, how did you come all the way here? How come that you don't even know who you are? And...why you didn't even recognize him? How are you being left exposed to dangers?! Including...him.
"Yes, it is beautiful. Well, I have to go now, I will see you again for a control, and thanks again for everything" he said, he started walking to the door as you walked with him, just when he was about to leave, lady Noriko came out of another room.
"I'm sure you will get well soon my son, come again for a checking when you come to our village again", she said with an eye-closed smile, as he nodded and then left your house.
