It was one evening several days later, and there was still no signal for him, be patient [name], what could happen to him? He is a strong ninja, and he loves you, he will be back for sure!
That's what you have been telling yourself over and over again to help yourself handle the pain increasing inside your chest, that's what you tell yourself every night when you lay in bed alone and hug a pillow staining it with your tears..., more days had passed, a week or a bit more than just that, there was still no trace for him, not even a crow or a small letter to help put out the fire in your heart, you couldn't be patient anymore, you need to find him.

"I'm leaving my lady", you said as you stopped by the lady's house, telling her what you have decided, if Itachi doesn't want to let you know what's going on, you will find out on your own.
She didn't say anything or ask you more questions or tried to stop you, the look on your face was enough to explain everything to her, it seems you didn't have any good sleep for a while, you were wearing one of your casual kimonos with your satchel on your shoulder.
"Alright sweetheart, I won't hold you back, but please...be careful", she said with a sad look in her eyes as she cupped your face in her hands, she hoped from the depths of her heart you'd be back safe, with Itachi also with you, she wanted to see that happiness again on your face.
"Alright my lady...goodbye...", you said as you quickly left the house and headed outside the village, not really knowing from where to start searching and looking? Where could he be?

"ITACHI??!", you called out loud after reaching the Akatsuki's hideout after three days of continuous traveling, your voice echoed through the empty temple-like building, yet there was no answer for your call, no one seems to be there.
"ITACHI ARE YOU THERE??!", you called as you turned the knob of his room and knocked on it violently as you run out of patience, his room is shut, locked, you never thought there will come a day this room will be shut in your face...
Where is he? Your heart sank more as a bad feeling overwhelmed you, you can feel him, something not good is gonna happen, you need to find him soon before it's too late...
You hurried outside the place, not knowing exactly where to go? Where is Zetsu when you need him? Where is Hidan? Pain? Madara? Anyone!!
You gritted your teeth as you felt so helpless...and lonely and lost, no one will help you, no one can help you, you got involved with Itachi on your own will, you deal with the consequences...

It was already evening, you were in the middle of the thick forest, not knowing where are you going exactly, only letting your heart guide you, and trying to remain strong, as your chest tightens more with each passing moment...
You might encounter rogue ninjas, thieves, bandits, the Akatsuki members, the hidden leaf shinobi, and other enemies who might recognize you and try kill you, but who cares? You're in no condition to think of this now, and also...you're strong, you will take down whoever stands in your way.
You managed to find a shelter to spend a night in, still being on guard, you couldn't sleep from over thinking...only when it was almost dawn that you finally managed to have some sleep, uneasy sleep.
You woke later, and you immediately continued your journey of research, of course after eating some of the food you had been carrying in your satchel as well as having one of those pills you make to boost your energy.

Days passed, you searched through the forests and even looked for him in those villages scattered around that you managed to visit with him during your missions, as each of these villages held a dear memory to your heart.
Memory? Is your relationship with Itachi turned into a memory?
"NO!!!", you screamed at no one in particular as you thought of this, you have started to get impatient but also you didn't lose hope to find him, he can't just disappear!! He must be just somewhere around!!

You where running though the forest, it was a cloudy weather, it seems it had rained a while ago, the mud was making things hard for you and the rain made the trees branches slippery, why are you running anyway? You don't even know where are you going...
You suddenly stopped panting, seeing a figure of a man with a familiar cloak and an orange mask blocking your path a few distance away, Madara as he refers to himself...what does he want now?

"[name] Uchiha it is been a while...oh...by the way, congratulations...", he said in his deep voice, as he took some steps towards you, making you activate your Sharingan and grab your kunai ready to protect yourself from him.
"What do you want?", you asked, alerted, never letting your guard down, he watched you for a while, it seems you have been out looking around for days, your kimono is dirty and your hair is a bit messy, your face looks a bit tired, poor thing...
"Oh [name], there is no need for this, I don't intend to harm you, but I'm more likely want to help you", he said calmly as you narrowed your eyes waiting for him to continue, help?!

"You are looking for Itachi, right?", he said, his red eye focused on your face through the hole in his mask, noticing the change on your face, the one angry and fierce look that was on your face changing into a sad and broken one.
"Where is he??!! What happened to him??!", you said in a high pitched voice, as you felt your heart shatter into pieces.
"He and Sasuke have to settle things between the two them in one ultimate fight", he said calmly.
"What?!...what do you mean? Where is he?...", you asked, feeling a shiver run down your spine, Itachi said he will find a way to fix things with his brother a while ago...but it seems...he didn't change his mind...
"You heard me [name], luckily you're in the right direction to their fighting location, the secret Uchiha hideout, just keep going straight ahead and you will be there...maybe you'd be able to catch up to them before one of them is down", he said, not waiting for a reply, as he then disappeared into that swirl again.

"Itachi...", you muttered with a trembling voice as your tears started running down your cheeks heavily...that's his solution for his problem with his brother?! What's about all the promises he had made to you?
