The three of you walked more further inside the thick, dark forest. Itachi kept a hold on your hand, Kisame was walking next to the two of you with his sword over his shoulder, with a small smirk on his face.

"Itachi, keeping the two of you that close could be risky, what if you two fell in a trap together?", Kisame asked, his smirk never leaving his face.
Itachi sighed knowing what does his partner want from asking this, he gave his partner a side look then said:"that's the point, I will be right there to save us both quickly, otherwise you will be still free Kisame, and you can help us, can't you?", Itachi finished his words with a little smirk in the corner of his lips as well, teasing Kisame with that last part.
"Heh, sure Itachi. So it's just a 'safety' matter huh?", Kisame said rising an eyebrow at his partner smirking slyly, his eyes then looking at Itachi's hand holding yours.
"Yes, you can say that...safety reasons, Kisame", Itachi said, looking ahead of himself.
"I doubt that, Itachi", Kisame replied while Itachi just shrugged then said:"that's your own problem".

"Hello? I am right here you know! What's the meaning of this conversation?!", you interrupted their talk as you frowned.
"Well [name], it's just that it's quite rare to see the nice and caring side of Itachi, that's not usually the case with him, heh", Kisame told you, causing his partner to groan in annoyance muttering under his breath: "nonsense...".

You just shrugged it off and focused more on your surroundings, careful not to fall into another trap again, these guys are either too silent or talk in a confusing way.

The fog started getting thicker and darker, while you started to hear some weird noises coming from a far distance. You gulped knowing that something is coming soon.
"Do you hear this?", Kisame wondered as the noises started to get louder and more clear, indicating that you're getting closer to it.
"It's sounds like...sobs and cries...", you said, biting your lower lip feeling uncomfortable about this situation. You gasped slightly feeling Itachi gently tightens his hold on your hand reassuringly.
With every step you took, the sounds became louder. Now you can even recognize it as two different voices, one of a little baby crying and the other one of a woman that could be the mother of the baby, sobbing as she says some words in a language you couldn't quite understand, in a way that sounded like chanting.

"Stop now", Itachi said holding you back, as Kisame stopped walking too, the blue skinned man looked questioningly at his partner who just focused his sharingan on the path ahead of the three of you.
"What is it Itachi?", you asked worrieldy, never letting go of his hand as he turned to you with the redness of his eyes glowing in this somber place and said:"stay on guard, something is coming in our direction on medium speed, and it's not too far", you nodded still looking at his red eyes, as he then turned around waiting for this thing to appear.
"Shouldn't we avoid it? Or hide somewhere?", you asked starting to feel more and more anxious.
"There is no need to, we are totally exposed in this forest, the other places could be more dangerous for us than just staying here", Itachi said as you nodded and looked at Kisame who was already holding his sword ready to attack.

Just as Itachi told you, not too long after, you started hearing a sound nearing you, a sound of an animal walking mixed with a clanking sound...
A figure appeared from the darkness coming right toward you...a wolf.
A very beautiful wolf with sky blue eyes and silver thick fur covering most of its body, and a snow white fur adorning its tail, paws, and forming a ring around its neck. The clanking sound was coming from the remaining of a metallic chain connected to an iron ring around its anterior wrist.
The wolf was coming toward you walking limp as it seemed to be in pain, you could hear some noises coming from it as it gotten even closer. The wolf slowed down its pace as it neared you, as you just stood there watching it, not even trying to attack ot run away from it, something about it seemed different, this wasn't just a normal wolf.

You could still hear the crying sounds around, they never stopped...the wolf walked up to you then sat right in front of you with a sad look in its eyes.
"What's this now?!", Kisame exclaimed, still not feeling okay about this new commer, you looked at Itachi who seemed just as confused as the three of you.
"I guess it wants to tell us something", you said to Itachi who looked deepily at the animal then said:"it could also be a trap [name], and that seems more probable".
You sighed looking back at the wolf, why it doesn't try to attack you? You let go of Itachi's hand and bent down to the wolf's level, slowly and with hesitation patting its head as it responded with a low whimper, noticing how weak and skinny it is, it looks like it has been imprisoned somewhere for a while.
You gasped noticing the blood dripping from a wound that the iron ring made on its wrist, it must have got this when it was trying to escape from its prison.

"[name]...we need to hurry", Itachi said calmly, already knowing what you have been thinking about, to heal this creature's wound.
"I will only take a few time", you replied placing your glowing hand on the wolf's wrist and starting to heal it. You removed your hand short after seeing the clear change in the wolf's eyes, the pain has faded away as the wound stopped bleeding and healed.
"There you go!", you smiled as you got up, yet the mysterious wolf didn't go, it just let out a long howl that reached far in the forest as if thanking you or...calling for something.

The second choice was the rightful one, it was a call...

Snakes started appearing from their hidden places underground and from above the trees, some other spiders of different sizes came down as well from the high branches, some other monsters you didn't even recognize appeared from the shadows, staring at you with their glowing eyes as their loud grunts made the situation even worst.

Was Itachi right? Shouldn't you just ignore this wolf and continue your path?
